Perry was NOT with Journey when he sang this song. He split from the group and walked out in 1984.  He had differences with his band, but said publicly that he lost his passion for singing. He was replaced by Steve Augeri who had a short stint with Journey. They replaced him with Jeff Scott Soto. In 2007 youtube discovery Arnel Pineda took over the vocals for Journey. In 1984 after walking out on Journey Steve Perry went solo with his first album Street Talk, which features Foolish Heart.
