What an insult to the people of Cumbria, £1 million for them whilst £293 million sent elsewhere as foreign aid. Flood damage in Southern Scotland and NW England has been estimated at between £50 to £100m by the Association of British Insurers, thats without knock on costs added. 4 days non payment to the EU would cover this amount and not sending out £293 million would have also been the right course of action for Brown to take, this guy needs to be strung up

So Gordon Brown announced £1 million in flood aid to Cumbria. The Department For International Development gave out an incredible £293 million in foreign aid to Sri Lanka, Pakistan, the World Bank, Sierra Leone and Ethiopia on the days before the cumbrian floods.

The last time we had floods, Brown totally milked it, and received disproportionate praise for his 'handling' of the floods, i.e. taking a big photo opportunity. No wonder he is there like a flash this time - he's so desperate to get some credit for something other than being the least popular and most incompetent failure of a PM in history. He never could have been PM anyway, if corrupt liar Blair had not just 'given him the job'.
