I went down to the ward office last week and several volunteers took turns helping me with some of the less common kanji as I entered my wage forms from my (4) different jobs into the computer and deducted my national health insurance. It took awhile, but it was no sweat. OK, I did sweat a little.
I didn't need a copy of my gaijin card, but that might vary from one tax office to another. I did make copies of my tax slips from each job for my own records.
LOL. Yeah, I originally didn't plan on a comedy montage, but put it in later to make the video more survivable for viewers :) The fact that, at one point, the strokes sync up is a happy coincidence!
and the DS with the Kanji program saved your ass, that is a story to tell for sure. I think we should get pissed and then with the help of your dictionary, go around Tokyo askin people what random kanji mean, we can be social and fill that list up in a few hours, the drinking is the main part though.
Just tried out the kanji software and it's pretty useful, thanks. If you get a chance to fulfill any more requests, I'd love to see a video of a used car dealership in japan(odd request, i know). Great video as usual, and by far the most interesting video about doing taxes i've ever seen.
Cheers for the complement, and the request. I'm thinking about getting a motorbike (second hand) in the next few months, so I'm sure there'll be some motoring stuff coming up eventually.
it WAS interesting

This was interesting. The kanji software looks cool. Haha, you just reminded me to do my taxes. Thanks!

That "training" montage would put Rocky's to shame :). A very "taxformative" video Mantrousers!
PS- It's kinda ironic that a foreigner like you would finish their taxes faster than the natives.

Also, great timing on the DS software, because I just bought the program you recommended yesterday!

Would've been amazing if you synced up the longer kanji strokes with the montage music.

Oh dude... your tackling an issue of mammoth proportions. I hire to get my taxes done in MY OWN LANGUAGE..... your crazy.

If I didn't pay my taxes, then maybe I'd have enough money to hire someone to organise them... oh wait... that's a paradox, doh!
