This update fucking blows. Makes my internet comparable to dial up, and my music player skips. Also, it's Sprints way of adding spyware to your phone. Awesome. Now my phone is a piece of shit.
@Babiesmakegoodgloves Really? Everyone I have asked that has gotten it, loves it. You might need to reset the phone :P Oh and about the internet, I had to switch from Sprint to AT&T because no matter where I went I had dialup speeds... I don't think its the phone I think its the carrier :P
@Doughmane08 yes! I was gonna do the manual update by downloading the update from Google then putting it on my SD card, but when I looked at it, it had a message asking to reboot to install the new software.
@VraiDiouf Nope, never has been. I think I read on a forum that this update changed the filiesystem to EXT4 so yes, that is probably why it scores such a high score on the Qudrant Standard. Like I said I was VERY impressed with this update and the speed it brought with it. It scores a better score than my Infuse 4G which has a faster processor :P
@xman798 The infuse 4G is actually a Galaxy S phone with a 1.2 ghz processor :-D that said my friend I'm happy about this. I'm really hoping that my Samsung Fascinate (Galaxy S on Verizon) also gets the update and that they use the ext4 filesystem. I also hope that your Infuse 4G gets the update soon as well with similar results. Right now on Android 2.2 my Fascinate gets like 930 on Quadrant lol (RFS filesystem for the loss). The snappiness displayed in this video after the update is WOW.
@VraiDiouf Really? I haven't actually heard if the Infuse is really branded as a "Galaxy S" series but nevertheless cool! Yeah hope the Fascinate gets it soon! They better release the damn update for the Infuse and make it just as snappy if not faster! LOL Yeah I know what your talking about my Infuse barely even reaches 1000 :( lol
@xman798 well it's not a branded Galaxy S, I just meant the internals are the same :). It's kind of like the Droid Charge which shares the same internals as the Galaxy S, or the Samsung Stratosphere. Techincally speaking, the Infuse 4G should be snappier than the epic 4G once it gets gingerbread (assuming its filesystem is also converted to EXT4). You should be seeing scores higher than 1850 hopefully once the Infuse 4G gets gingerbread.
@Thousandeyes85 It worked fine, used it in the Google Maps app and Foursquare app and it had no problem locking onto my location, and very accurate. Took about a minute to lock onto satellites indoors.
My phones flashed to boost mobile if i do this will i loose my flash an not be on boost mobile anymore

is your phone rooted? What the heck? Galaxy S phones were never getting up to a 1000 pre gingerbread unless they converted to EXT4 finally.
