Finish the cut the first time and let her go. I ilke the balancing of the wood. I agree a control (tag line) would give you more control. Its only a matter of time when something goes wrong with these boys. No need what so ever to be under the tree. None at all so get the hell away with your line. Was dumb luck that the piece did not hit the house. Should have at least held the piece high until it stopped swinging. A good rope man is all the difference in the world.
it was okay although they still shoulda had a tagline or two for more control... this just shows that these guys aren't that good as, they obviosly didn't think this thing through... they almost hit the house!!! home owners and looky-loos are easily impressed...
yeah, seems like they were suprized it went that well. The run was decent, but did stop down near house level; lucky didn't drift enough to bump house. Then the groundman on the LD was directly under the tree; thats what I really didn't like. A good practice would be to walk way out away from the LD, why put yourself in the danger area, what if the climber messed up on the tying, or rope broke, or small peice fell, or log sliped out of the rope? Other than that, it was okay.
thumbs up! good job guys
