  • Hey, another drummer that uses Aquarian Modern Vintage medium heads. I love them too.

  • This is very helpful!

  • thank u i love this beat it is my fav jazz and blues

  • Are you crash and ride both Vault Artisan? what sizes/weights? Thanks :) really helpful lesson.

  • Hi Tim! I'd like to know what cymbals you're using (model, size, happen to knows the weight???) Always loved Sabian, but Haven't found "mine" ideal ones yet!

  • man your good

  • I love you! You can't drum if u can't sing the rythm! START SING DRUMMERS!

  • spengeelelelellelelelelel lel elele LOL

  • Ah heel down technique. I was wondering where the base was coming from.

  • what ride is that? it has a nice stick control!

  • In the second with the bass, is your bass inaudible without headphones?

  • spangalang spangalangalangalangalang lol

  • iron your shirt

  • @bsm6776 Shut your mouth

  • i love this guy!

  • Thanks very much man this is very helpful =] what are these cymbals? they're very tasty

  • @AdbyoCross They look like Sabian Vault cymbals.

  • I gotta tell you i really like the way you teach man, real simplistic and fundamental... And I really feel as if I've finally grasped the basic jazz shuffle! Thank you so much. And gtao22 you really said it when you talkin about water and flow man... I never felt like on the drums how I just felt a minute ago.... Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet! Keep the lessons coming, do an expose of your phattiest beats man! Would love to hear you just jamming out

  • John Bohnam? Fool in the Rain?

  • @pdc1453 nope

  • I'll 2nd Art Blakey as a great shuffle drummer, along with Stevie Ray's drummer, and Buddy Miles on Hendrix "Still Rainin'." Buddy played real "gut-bucket" shuffles. Good instructional video, maign...

  • hahaha your funny!! and a really good drummer!!! thanks man. more drummers should be funny like you on thier tutorials.

  • many thanks internet guy!

  • thank you so much for these lessons. Awesome drumming man... Would you ever be able to explain the lick at 5:10? I see it's some kind of doubles on the left but I can't catch it quick enough. Thanks!

  • i think it's called a texas shuffle, basicly your doing what your leadind hand is doing but your accenting beats 2 and 4

  • Very nicely done. Thanks!

  • This is a good thing this shufle thing, gets you into a fluid groove flowing like water. It rolls & skips like a ball. Funny thing is it looks easy enough but don't be fooled, let's say it's more one of the kind of all around basic feel needed to be mastered to really become skilled & a pro. This drumming style is a strong & subtle glue in a band.

  • u re really funny, well done.

    keep uploading more.

    Thanx

  • wow... you're a best drmmer... compliments!

  • What kit do u use? is it a gretsch round badge?

  • your cymbals are BEAUTIFUL.

and thanks for the lessons :)

  • Wait...you're the dude from the Drum Lab!! I saw you on the website.

  • LoL he's funny. Great Job! I just started playin like 3 months ago for my school and somehow I made jazz band for this year. But I'm still havin trouble gettin everything at once, it's sooo frustrating.

  • Are top and bottom head same pitch

  • What notes do you tune your toms to. I use the same heads on a Yamaha Absolute Maple Kit. I love the pitch you have them tuned to. You sound excellant

  • what kind of heads do u have?

  • I'm using Aquarian Modern Vintage Medium heads on top and bottom of the toms, and top of snare and Batter side Bass. Love these heads and wouldn't use anything else.

  • sakadakadakadaka spangalang
