Where did you get the first drum track (1st channel beat)? It sounds identical to one of the baseline elements from LSG's In Too Deep (Medway remix) - a song I love but was unable to get on vinyl back in the day. Any suggestions/help would be greatly appreciated.
@warchild1976 adjust buffer size 256 works for me.. and the most important that helped me was.. going to prefrences then click on cpu and then make sure multicoremultiproccesor support is set to OFF ! ... and plug-in buffer size to As Audio Buffer ... hope it helps ;)
Hey, how do you use 4 sends? There are only 3 to switch between. Is it possible to control more than 3 sends with the Apc40? How do one switch between more than 3 sends? Thanks In Lak'ech
People are just jealous the cant afford macs with high end DAW's, screw it dude I own an APC40, I do my stuff without getting any complaints. Im also a musician with 15 years experience, playing drums , keys and guitar. as long as u love what u do do it, who cares about anybody's comments. get out, get paid, screw everyone!
let me get this straight. to create song you are mixing together various different tracks and tweaking their volume levels and eq to make them sound good together. how is this not djing?
@t1mTV I'm not mixing together different tracks but different loops that I've created or sampled. Then I trigger in or trigger out the different loops when I want plus i may add the effects when I want and how much i want. Since I do all this live on stage, I'm performing live. I like to call it "live composition" or "live composing".
Dj'ing typically involves mixing other people's already completed musical works by usually fading one track out into another track and so on.
@t1mTV YOU can improvise. if you can improvise than you're performing live... When a band play someone else tunes, they are not do any live creation... and even if YOU have created the piece, you rarely improvising and you play the piece after a lot of practice (ok, some do improvise like in Jazz or blues).... so in fact, Ableton live + the APC40 give you the freedom to improvise, adapt, create something in a specific place and time and it'll be different every time.
@chutzpah8 I don't know what your musical background is, so I'm not gonna scream at you, but it seems that you don't really have a solid understanding of how jazz works.
this is not a good example of a great live, but it provides a good perspective of what you can achieve.
In order to understand the potential you would need to understand composition.
As a classical music director, you have the power to drive the composition to a lot of places. The building process its not static, since you are gathering instant feedback of the music you play.
(is it just me?), or all the ableton demos seem to be one loop, one groove, repeating, with improvised effects, all in the same key. Are there any demos of someone improvising with an actual song? ie with separate intro, verse chorus etc
whats there maximum channel limit, or is there 1? if not is there a way u can load another saved project whilst the current 1 plays? (seporate window thats sinked in or sum shit?)

Thanks for the video...I noticed all your launch leds on your pac stay lit the whole time for your live set....Do you happen to know why mine go out after I lauch a clip or scene?
Dude thank you so much, from the bottom of my heart. Nothing but stupid fucking dubstep tutorials and other peoples terrible compositions. It took me forever to find a video that actually displayed how to use Ableton for LIVE work.
@arturommk I made a tutorial showing how i made and how to install it, plus there is a link where you can download the skin if you want it or use the app to make your own skin.
@SeanMontie Hey. when i switch from seesion to arangment view some of the tracks are grey and will only take sounds from session view and wont play whats in arrangment. help?
@arturommk Good tutorial piece on this product. By me viewing your video piece on the Abelton. I am planning on purchasing this said product online @ EBAY. Thank you, for producing a great video piece. And i do like the presentation of your music piece. "Big ups to you!" PEACE 777jeru a.k.a. "d.j. J. Maestro"

@0riginalistic just because you are triggering loops instead of whole tracks does not mean you are performing live.

do you know that jazz and blues are the dumbest music you could ever play, well actually its rap but above rap its jazz and blues.
When playing its like masturbating, you only need to abuse one scale, everything will sound as if it fits.
I find creating and playing an ableton live set A LOT more creative.
