  • The colonials forces could have won the war. I dont know which episode it is but... remember what a massacre could do ONLY 2 Battlestars? Now dear cyons imagine this destruction with a lot lot LOT more Battlestars. Have nice nightmares cylons. ;)

  • What is the name of the song you use?

  • @Rob01203 It's called "Apocalypse".

  • Subs are funny.

  • The farms of Aerilon are burning. The beaches of Canceron are burning. The plains of Leonis are burning. The jungles of Scorpia are burning. The pastures of Tauron are burning. The harbors of Picon are burning. The cities of Caprica are burning. The oceans of Aquaria are burning. The courthouses of Libran are burning. The forests of Virgon are burning. The Colonies of Man lie trampled at our feet.
  • "and fuselage of the superbowl of jello" Closed Captioning recklessly confusing the deaf. By the way great video.

  • if the cylons were to engage the colonial forces directly they would have lost cause the colonials outnumbered them but instead chose to disable their ships and other defence systems via a virus and bombed the hell out of them...sneaky bastards

  • humanity's children are returning to murder their parents...BSG 4 ever

  • cool i love it :)

  • "Let's get this genocide started."

  • great video bro, keep it coming.

  • I think it that time of the year gain. BSG marathon!

  • 12 planets... frack the fleet, they did the job. So say we all :D

  • in this universe of infinite possibilities, what happened to the human colonies could also happened to another civilization. Can you imagine, a huge fleet, wandering through space?

  • this song is of a Hindi spiritual and religious hymn " gayatri mantra" believed to give you inner strength when recited.. google it out

  • This 'film' was so boring-should have called it a day when the original [brilliant] series finished a few years back .

  • 凄いとしか、いいようのない映像と音楽

    凄い

  • which episode is this?

    i cant find it anywhere...:(

  • @keco122 it is a movie called " Battlestar Galactica The Plan"

  • The song is called "Apocalypse" but who is singing it is what i wanna know. If anyone can help me out please do.

  • @Mastermind9206 Google and Wikipedia is your friend; Raya Yarbrough

  • Not bad =D The Cylons hit the Human race just ice cold in the face ;J

  • I always loved Battlestar Galactica. Any idea which language is this music sung in, it sounds beautiful.

  • This was still an disadvantage for the colonials. They only had about 150 ships. When they cylons had hundreds. So there was never a guarantee of winning the war again.

  • colonials would have won if cylons didn't cheat like little bitches i bet a 11 year old kid is controling them. Like seriously who has to shut down all their battleships and defenses?

  • @link30222 In war there is no cheating. The Cylons did what they did to win.In the real world the best way to defeat an enemy militarily is to launch cyber attacks against infrastructure. Cripple and blind them.

  • 0:09 how much snow dark man?...WTF???

  • 0:21 with trancribe audio: A fuselage of the super bowl of jello. WTF??

  • And the fuselage of the super bowl of jello!

  • I have never understood why the cylons would attempt to annihalate humanity. The only thing the colonials ever did to them was create them and enslave them. OK.... so maybe the second thing would need revenge but why like that?

  • Is this a movie?! OH MY GOD I NEED TO SEE THIS!

  • syfy channel website

  • shivers down my glowing spine

  • Oh my good it´s so bad! :´(

    R.I.P BSG 41 Valkyrie!

  • Incredible

  • If the cylons could have taken on the Colonial fleet directly, they wouldnt have to hax their victory, a Battlestar has advanced armor, can withstand nukes, multiple missile hits, have flak barrage, long range artillery, even in Exodus part 2, when 2 basestar was pounding the Galactica, it seemed that it can take a lot more damage, and the Pegasus holded his own againts 3 basestars. Huge mistake on the cylon part for only having missiles, sure they had a lot of fighters but...still.

  • @rageagaintstheNWO did you see the red beams that went over the ships at 1:05? i believe that is considered a weapon... whatever the heck it was

  • a wonderful way to spend good footage

  • As i under stand it Spizania that if the colonials where attack that even scorpian fleet ship yards had defences. There wasnt any way that they cylons could have won. So i do agree but if yet the colonials didnt have size fleet like the cylons so there would have been a 50% chance of loosing the battle. But i dont see why they didnt just send all there ships possible to destroy the Galactica when she jumped.

  • As I understand it, the Colonials were facing complete civilisational collapse, the war was apparently not going well, with massive ground invasions on atleast one colony under way.

Given the option for them to go away rather than fight to the probable collapse of Colonial civilisation, I imagine they were rather eager to accept.

Isnt it implied that without the CNP backdoor the Colonial fleet was a decisively superior force in a direct engagement, hence the reliance on subterfuge.

  • @Spizania yes, it is

  • @Spizania What I dont get is why colonials didn't restart all their systems once virus took hold. They should have had some system or program for security breaches like this. So even if it was really powerfull virus they should have been able to reboot their computers. It would have taken time but there should have been ships that were under only light attack as the cylons were spread thin trying to wipe out colonies all at once and so they would have rebooted and warned others with Raptors.

  • @PatrickHanibal The Cylons didn't activate the virus till they came into direct contact with colonial forces.

Gaeta reads a report saying as such in the pilot and there are other instances.

Its probaly assumed that the Cylons are just defeating the colonials straight up. The key for the Cylons was getting to as much of the colonial military as fast as they could before the Colonials figured it out.

In reality, Baseships aren't much of a match for Battlestarts head up, especially the Mercury's.

  • @Spizania So there would have been quite a few ships should have managed to reboot their systems before or after being infected by CNP Backdoor. So i reckon colonials should have been able to put up one hell of fight in BSG. They makers shouldn't have ended great civilization so easily. And i think what i have said is pretty accurate as in the first episode i remember like an hour after the attack started only 30 of 120 battle-stars had been destroyed so they would have had time to do all this.

  • @PatrickHanibal Only 30 battlestars destroyed in one hour? 25% of your capital ships gone in an hour?

That doesn't even include other ship types. Those losses are horrendous.

The Cylon attack was a sneak attack. No 6 got access to the defense system, and the Cylons knew the locations of the colonial military. The Cylons were able to take the Colonials by suprise ala the Pegasus. I doubt they even needed to acces the CNP for the these. Those that were able to fight got the CNP treatment.

  • omg. where do i find this music?? this is gorgeous.

  • @obsydiandreams

Sound a lot like the song played in the opening of BSG.

  • @TrolloftheTube Thats because it is the same tune, just a different version :)

  • @obsydiandreams The song's name is "Apocalypse"

  • @turbooggyboy catchy title ;)

  • @turbooggyboy yep yooooooh god hell they are just sun technoly

  • @obsydiandreams It's on the Razor/The Plan soundtrack

  • @obsydiandreams Make sure you get the Razor version and not the live version.

  • @obsydiandreams And it's from Battlestar Galactica move - "The Plan"

  • well you know all this could have been avoided if somebody wasn't trying to be GOD.

last i looked the position was filled. but then this shite is canadian. wtf ever came out of canada that was good? besides the really hot hookers in montreal that is.

  • anyone ever play metal gear solid guns of the patriots. kinda reminds me of this. only the bb Missouri was able to go into battle because it was an old anolog ship kinda like galactica

  • Just give me one Raynor Class Battleship (Freespace Blue Planet), and I wouldn't stop til every last one of those things was ash.

  • @turbooggyboy im sorry i was not awake when i was typing the last comment.

  • @fastzombie1 No worries =)

  • what is the song called?

  • This is what happens when you fail to understand deterrence. If the colonials hadn't accepted the retarded treaty terms at the end of the first war, they could have kept track of the cylons' vital assets, and therefore kept ships loaded with FTL nuclear missiles waiting in deep space, ready to deliver massive retaliation. Instead, they decided to play space Mahan, which ended up doing jack shit.

  • @TariqAlSuave the colonials didn't win the war. it was pretty much a stalemate when the cylon proposed an armistice. weary from, i think, 20 years of war, the colonial accepted.

  • @UndyingHunter1 Right, but the Colonials accepted terms that were very disadvantageous to them from a standpoint of deterrence. The Colonials weren't allowed to cross the treaty line, so they had no idea where the Cylons' vital assets were, but the Cylons sure as hell knew the location of the twelve colonies. The Cylons could deter any colonial attack by threatening to nuke the Colonies, but the Colonials had no targets. That proved to be a dangerous asymmetry.

  • @TariqAlSuave Well..the humans didn't really have a choice but to sign that treaty. Remember, the Cylons are robots, they didn't get tired, require sleep, or food. They were the perfect warriors, if one died, they just replace that robot, while the humans got tired, couldn't afford to keep on building more ships. The Cylons could of kept on that war for a thousand years, and they wouldn't really care, but the humans couldn't. Eventually the humans would have lost, but the Final Five saved them.

  • @TariqAlSuave True. And unlike the Cylons they could not infiltrate their society, either to sabotage it from within or for intel proposes. I think that proved to be a fatal "error".

  • @TariqAlSuave that may be so but don't forget that the colonials had a greater army, the only drawback were those new systems they instaled cause that allowed the cylon virus to disable the entire colonial fleet (except those ships that weren't linked to that network)

  • the pyxis is still wrong at 2:58! there should only b one window instead of two like the colonial one

  • This is the most badass prayer I've ever heard.

  • @CanSpy i still think the Holy Hand Grenade prayer from Monty Python is better

  • @CanSpy:

    Quite a prayer!

I was going to create a mantra of this sort, but alI I could get out was a few hummy "om"s :-)

  • cant wait for blood and chrome to start airing :D

  • @CanSpy Is that a real language? Or specific to BSG?

  • @NonisMonster

The language is Sanskrit, transliteration by Ed (so, i hear with an Okie accent :-)

    Om bh-our bhu-wah sw-aah

    Tat sav-i-tur varen-yam

    Bhar-go deva-say-ah dhi-mahi

    dhi-yo-yo nah pra-cho-#day-ah

the # sign is where the format of the next verse starts, who is singing, insturments used, etc

  • @NonisMonster It's real but I can't remember the name of it. It's Indian...?

  • @CanSpy Yeahh...Hindu or something...

  • wow!!!!

  • every time when i see the human kind suffering so much i must cry! ;(

So much poeple dying on the attack of theire own creation, maybe we have the same destiny no one knows it

  • Does anyone know the name of the song?!?!?!

  • @Seirra54 it comes from a Indian Prayer

  • @turbooggyboy It's a psychological aspect. Give them enough time to not burn out their engines, but keep them always running. With a solid number, like 33 minutes, you can never put them in the back of your mind, it's always right there.

It's also physiological. Let the humans have their bodies unwind, start to crash from the adrenaline just to have it line up again.

You couldn't destroy them in the colonies, so you will -break- them in the dead of space.

  • @turbooggyboy

It was actually due to the time it took to track where the humans had jumped to. The where chasing them using a tracking device that used residual blah blah blah from the FTL jump.

  • @turbooggyboy If that case were true, then the cylons should variate their jump time according to the distance the colonials jumped every time.

I don't believe they jumped the same distance every time. Besides, their tecnology seems to have some sort of FTL data transmission anyway.

  • @chakaling

I dont recall there being any indication within the series that travel time varied with distance. I think the only issue would be detecting the fleets new location and plotting the jump to them. The time seems to have been spent on the readying BSG to jump again which is why the Vipers had to keep flying to protect the fleet until it was ready to jump again. Cylons seemed to be faster at this as they had enough time to detect the fleet and jump before the fleet could move again.

  • Actually it's the gayatri mantra in sanskrit.

  • I still don't get how the Cylons shut down the battlestars even if they were Networked. They are supposed to be super redundant, and remain in fighting condition after taking heavy damage, meaning if there was a network failure there should be manual backups(Modern warships and tanks all such backups, some of them are able to reconfigure them selves). One thing is to have the all anything wireless(Ship to ship communications, some sensors, etc) seperate from the network and the list goes on.

  • @Reaver4k Presumably they were attacked and destroyed before they could recover. I think the cylons would have been completely destroyed if it somehow didn't work.

  • @Reaver4k They had a sentient computer virus that could adapt to anything. Therefore once it was in the network, it infected all computers. I'm sure the systems had backup plans but the computer virus was superior. Not to mention Baltar leaked confidential military information to the Cylons, so the Cylons had months if not years to figure out how to completely render Battlestars powerless. The Galactica was an exemption because it was being decommissioned.

  • What happened to the battlestar rycon??

  • Did anyone ever come up with a reason why the cylons only attacked every 33 minutes in the first season in the first few episodes. Did it have anything to do with the beacon/cylon signal that was eminating from the olympic carrier, maybe it sent a signal every 33 minutes so as to be less detectable by the colonials?

  • @PatrickHanibal well mister,it is easy when you use your brains. Think, every time they jumped they crossed a distance of 33 light minutes, so as soon they appeared in a new location the signal started travelling across the universe and it took the signal (travelling at the speed of light) exactly 33 minutes to reach the previous location where they cylons already were. In other words, the bsg creators were subtly trying to tell us how much distance can Galactica cover in one jump. Now you know.

  • @simonsays1984 Ok so why did the cylons eventually stop following them after the firts few episodes?

  • @PatrickHanibal From what I remember the fleet got rid of the ship that was sending the signal so let's see, the cylons lost track of the fleet? Space's gigantic, you know. You really need to re-watch the series and try to look deeper into the meanings of the actions. I'd gladly help, but can we skip to more sophisticated problems? Like the origins of Baltar's imaginary six or the symbolism of the religion switch between man and the machines.

  • @PatrickHanibal lol it was somehow explained in the story. watch again those vids. and, don`t get frozen...lol

  • @ziel4sz What do you mean by dont get frozen?

  • @PatrickHanibal Didn't even realize it...maybe cause the show was only an hour long & the first half was usually chit chat

  • @PatrickHanibal As the writers said himself, it was an arbitrary number they picked out of the blue. And they laugh at people trying to over analyze it.

  • I love that shot of Pegasus over Scorpia. Chekhov's Battlestar. :D

  • Haha, turn on the auto-subtitles for Cavil's speech at the beginning there...

"fuselage of the Superbowl of Jello!"

  • @Halo4Lyf Hilarious, ain't it? :D

  • @turbooggyboy Yup!

Hey, random "who would win" question for you...

Which would win: a force of 10,000 Centurions or the United States' First Marine Expeditionary Force (which is a combined arms force numbering about 50,000 Marines and sailors)?

  • @Halo4Lyf I'd trust human ingenuity and bet on the marines.

  • @turbooggyboy Agreed. US Marines fight dirty, even when they have advantages in numbers. "If you're in a fair fight, you did something wrong."

I bet those 10,000 Centurions could be wiped out without taking very serious losses too. Just find a nice piece of terrain to set up a fire sack with a Marine regiment on three sides of the box, have the LAV battalion as bait, use the MEF's armor battalion to slam the door shut, and pound the firesack with arty and mortars.

  • @Halo4Lyf

Yep, so much for the Google Auto Close Captioning Program :-(

It is a subscript for when #1 says

" ... and feel the super wind of a supernova flowing over me ... "

    comes out:

" ... and fuselage of the superbowl of jello ... "

    I guess 'and' becomes 'and'; "feel the' becomes "fuselage";

'super nova' becomes 'superbowl'; and 'flowingover' ('fello') becomes 'jello'?

  • what is the thing at 2:55?? is that a civilian ship?? does anyone know where i can find a picture or anything of the inside of the civilian ships plz plz plz!!!!

  • i fucking hate cylons

  • think the song is partly in german

  • Destroyers of Gods

  • Raider0

  • Viper1

  • @turbooggyboy It's a good one. That's why we love it. :D

  • HEY, ANY FANS OUT THERE??? CAUSE IF YOU ARE THEN I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHAT IS INSIDE OF THE LUXURY LINERS OR THE CIVILIAN SHIPS.

  • Just added a second video as a response. I hope you accept it and enjoy it! =)

  • fantastic!!!!!!! powerful video with a haunting tune...

  • i love how all of the battlestars can use there batterys as a defence mecanisem

  • Know what ? I'm pretty sure there's a part of reality in BSG... It's just a feeling but it's a frakkin' STRONG feeling !!! The strongest I've ever had and I don't know why but I feel like we're heading to a new apogee, right here on Earth² ! All of this has happened before and will happen again... "Movement is meaningless in the absence of time, what never was is never again..."

  • 1-2 BC-304s would shut the Cylon's plan down BIG TIME...

  • @Halo1Pokemon1Master Probably, too bad that's another universe. Not to mention a few hundred thousands years into the future if they did in fact exist in the BSG universe =)

  • @turbooggyboy sorry, couldn't help but put that in there...

BTW what would win, a 304, or the entire Colonial Fleet pre-nuking of the Twelve Colonies?

  • @Halo1Pokemon1Master Against a single 304? Probably the Colonial Fleet because of superior numbers. 1v1 probably the 304 because of superior firepower and defenses, taking into consideration Asgard beam weapons and shields that the BSG universe does not have.

  • @turbooggyboy I'd bet on the 304 any day. they can beam nukes into the heart of a battlestar, resulting in a pretty instantaneous kill. The 304 also appears to be many magnitudes faster and more agile, meaning it would be a hard target to hit with KEWs, and it has been shown to shoot down missiles.

  • @Ryac3 Yeah, I agree. It's always hard to compare different settings because deep down there are too many game changers.

  • @turbooggyboy Ive been reading this debate/conversation for a while now and thought id join it so yea the 304 or deadalus class things from stargate would win any day just because there so over powered and so are all the things in stargate. Stargates a good show dont get me wrong but what i mean is that nukes are the most powerful weapons in bsg but in stargate they wouldn't even get through a hatacks shields let alone a 304 deadalus class ship so its not use comparing the two shows ships.......

  • @turbooggyboy since stargate is so overpowered and its a little less believable too since for example a nuke wouldn't get through an ori ships shields at all which was one of the most powerful ships in stargate at one time but it would take out a mountain and even more around the mountain like the mountain where the ancient races weapon was that the jaffa were in posession of but the ori ship just managed to take out the mountain but not much beyond the mountain so thats unbelievable since......

  • @turbooggyboy since it goes to reason that the nukes should do alot more damage to the stargate ships so if stargate was more realistic then id bet on the bsg valkyrie class ships but since stargate is the way it is i wouldn't even bother comparing the two shows. Do you know what i mean?

  • @PatrickHanibal Exactly. That's why I said, "It's always hard to compare different settings because deep down there are too many game changers. "

  • really wish they would have done more damage like a real warhead would

  • So are there 3 classes of battlestars (galactica's class, pegasus' class and valkyrie's class) or are there more not including all the support ships (destroyers, etc.)

  • @PatrickHanibal \

You have beserk class escorts (Which look friggin cool) as well, Galactica type, Pegasus Type, Valkyrie Class.

  • The Battlestars from 1:08 to 1:20 they dont look like the same class as the pegasus or gallactica what class are they, they look more streamlined and narrow than galactica and pegasus and they look cooler not that a battlestar needs to be streamlined since it operates in space but you get what i mean so could anyone give an answer please

  • @PatrickHanibal It's the "Valkyrie" class.

  • @turbooggyboy yes the one with the anti-ship missiles capability.

  • @PatrickHanibal yeah the little brothers of the Mercury class (Pegasus, Atlantia...)

  • @PatrickHanibal

it is the Valkyrie type battlestar. If you look closer you recognize Valkyrie :)

That type of battlestar it's Galactica class but modified.

  • @PatrickHanibal Two are Valks I believe but one is a different class all together.

I haven't watched this yet but GODDDAMN. It really DOES put the scope into place of just how well coordinated the attacks were. It's one of the biggest "Fuck You"s in Sci Fi.

  • mi heart is dies when i see the colonies destroyed. the fleet that defends the colonies paralized by a damn virus. X( death to cylons.

  • i love BSG and the music.......cool

  • cool i love BSG the plan and the music.......

  • oh my god the cylons need to be defeated for this...

i wonder what would happened when the battlestars wouldnt went out and could fight back, it would be a crazy battle i think

  • Om Bhur Bhuvah Swaha

    Tat Savitur Varenyam

    Bhargo Devasya Dhimahi

    Dhiyo Yonaha Pracho Dayat Om.

  • Easily one of the Finest Tribute Videos I Have Seen.Incredible Job.

  • "I don't want to be human. I want to see gamma rays, I want to hear x-rays, and I want to smell dark matter. I want to reach out with something other than these prehensile paws, and feel the solar wind of a supernova flowing over me. I'm a machine, and I could know much more." One of the best quotes ever from this show.

  • where did you find the music its fantastic and in Galic!

    -Doc

  • @bullworth3040 It's actually in Devangari. But I recorded it from the place where I got all the footage using Audacity. The name of the song i Apocalypse if you want to find it.

  • @bullworth3040 Its not in Gaelic; its in Sanskrit. Its a mantra called "Maha Gayatri". Its really beautiful!

  • @bullworth3040 Its not in Gaelic; its in Sanskrit. The lyrics is actually a prayer, its calle "Maha Gayatri" mantra. I like it too.

  • @bullworth3040 it's not galic, it's Sanscrit... India.

  • @bullworth3040 it's not galic, it's sanscri t- from India.

  • Why would a people who faced the danger of hacking cyborgs (First Cylon War) build systems vulnerable to such an attack AGAIN; Said systems being compromised beforehand notwithstanding.

I watched the show for the scenes in space, but the story and characters, I found to be annoying.

  • @nelsonmars

They had advanced anti-electronic warfare technology aboard the more modern ships such as the Mercury class', however due to Gaius Baltar's actions they were pointless. The cylons didn't hack their way in, they merely walked in through an open back door.

  • @nelsonmars How can you say "said systems being compromised beforehand not withstanding"?

It had been 40 years since anyone saw a Cylon, and you see how slow communication etc can be on Galactica itself without networking. Why wouldn't the fleet opt to use the faster, better system with plenty of advanced anti-electronic warfare protection on top of it just in case, when the Cylong threat itself seems to have vanished?

  • @TheShadowCow

Thinking like that is what can get your planet nuked.

  • Comment removed

  • Beautiful tribute for the fall of the twelves colonies!

  • Instead of this boring and useless movie, they should have done a movie about a group of survivors on another colony world besides Caprica. I've always been haunted by the possibility of other survivors, that were left completely on their own. That would've made a cool movie instead of just a clip show.

  • @MrEric177 i agree

  • Around 4 minutes in you see raptors looking for survivors. How far after the attack was this? how many ships were left after this time? i didn't know the colonials were able to respond in any way at all.

  • @Starliner1701 I'm sure those Raptors were shot down later by Raiders =)

  • @turbooggyboy those raptor got away atleast some of them to get to civi ships and leave that is when pegasus picked up civi ships and when galactica found the fleet of 50 ships going into the storm is where some of those rapters whent

  • @Starliner1701 (Slightly late response ye) - The raptors you see (judging by their uniformed colours) could be assumed to be apart of the Colonial Emergency services. The scenes shown with those raptors are about 10-20 minutes after the initial strike.

However they were most likely quickly cut down by basestars which entered orbit and raiders. It can easily be assumed that The Pegasus and Galactica's fleet were not the only surviving groups.

  • @Starliner1701

In fact, they seem to be only looking for "original five" survivors ;) So... maybe Cavil was behind this...
