SPOILER ALERT!!!! I liked the first half of this movie, but when it gets to the part where Colin Farrell blows up their house, it got to ridiculous. The mom nor the girlfriend believed Charlie anyway so there was no point for him to take it to that extreme. The film just went downhill from there.

The creepy Victorian home from the original was a huge part of the atmosphere. It had a feeling of history, like it had been owned by the same people for many generations -a place where anything could be happening behind close doors. They screwed up the moment they chose a crappy suburban dime-a-dozen neighborhood for the remake.

Is this movie worth watching? I have seen the 1985 "Fright night" movie and it was good for it's kind. I mean,the whole concept of a teenager facing a vampire,with the only help of some famous old guy,had it's good moments. The reactions of the characters were what you expect to see in "horror" movies where the star is a teenager who encounters something he never though excisted...In this trailer, Charlie,the teenager,looks like he turns into Rambo....so plz reply if it's worth...
