Its upsetting to me that everyone wants to be a club kid just because of party monster. There is SO much more to clubbing than party monster and in reality majority of important club figures of that time werent even portraited in party monster. They did a great job with the construction of the sets (beyond Michael's appartment which was completely off) but really James and Michael werent as close as they seemed in the film.

Kinda funny seeing a middle-aged and balding "club kid". I knew this guy and he's actually quite funny but could be incredibly obnoxious when he was high and walking around in one of his costumes. Half the time, most of the ppl could barely even move in their outfits , let alone dance in them. It all seemed like a huge burden to have to get ready and dressed up in some enormous costume just to go clubbing. Some of them would spend three to four hours getting dressed for the evening.

Its upsetting to me that everyone wants to be a club kid just because of party monster. There is SO much more to clubbing than party monster and in reality majority of important club figures of that time werent even portraited in party monster. They did a great job with the construction of the sets (beyond Michael's appartment which was completely off) but really James and Michael werent as close as they seemed in the film.

Ive also seen lots of home videos and pictures of michael and his home, and all of his friends. I think that they tried very hard on the film, but they made michael look a little too flambouyant (The pink fishnet walls in his appt were never even close to that). I know I kind of went off topic there but to answer your question, no, I wasnt there.

Kinda funny seeing a middle-aged and balding "club kid". I knew this guy and he's actually quite funny but could be incredibly obnoxious when he was high and walking around in one of his costumes. Half the time, most of the ppl could barely even move in their outfits , let alone dance in them. It all seemed like a huge burden to have to get ready and dressed up in some enormous costume just to go clubbing. Some of them would spend three to four hours getting dressed for the evening.
