This video, as well as most of my videos posted here in YouTube, were transferred from my old VHS cassette tapes, which I later transferred to Video-CD format. My old Windows 2000 computer, which I custom-built, had a video card with a video input, and I connected my VHS VCR to my video card.
Also, I purposely muted this particular video because I was riding in my parents' car and I did not want my parents' conversation to be recorded onto the video.
exxon became valero and that same arco is still there HAHAHA shit, sees candy is ancient and you can see in the beginning of the video towne center where theres now popeyes and subway and etc haha memories

I lived in South City before Westborough Extension was built... Used to be a Whites Department Store across the street from Sees Candy. The smell from Orowheat Bread was unbelievable, somedays you could smell it before school at South City High. SSF 1959 - 1988

If anyone watching this knows of or is a relative of a poet/writer/astrologer named Albert Street who lived in San Francisco for at least 20 years before his death in May of 1988 please send me a reply...I am currently looking for permission to create a fansite for him and his work-- although he would be fully credited for his work- I would still like to get consent from a member of his family since his publishing company no longer exists.
dude, thank you for posting this video! i lived up in westborough. this video was filmed a week before my 14th b-day and right before i graduated from westborough junior high (it was only 7th and 8th back then!) c/o '88!
Westborough Jr. High School Class of 1987. I used to pretend to be a freshmen and sneak into the El Camino High School dances. If you're familiar with South City, you've tasted Little Lucca's garlic spread w/ turkey and dutch crunch.
nice. i was a first grader in mater dolorosa at the time. i love this footage. this is my neighborhood too around galway and greendale. i miss the old days.

Same shitty Westborough weather. Fuckin 50 degs in May, hella foggy. Funny how a double cheese was more expensive than a gallon of gas back then.
