there are no mixture of religions. there are ONLY two religions: the Truth (Christ's teachings & salvation of man from sin & hell), and false religions (everything else that is not true Christianity including atheism, hinduism to satanism etc).
There are some who are still trapped in the latter, but they will be saved out of it by Christ because they have a heart that seeks the Truth
You can drown with your theories but God's words will STAND to eternity!
Unfortunately, doing this is a real fight this year. The County Commissioners have taken over control of the display and are looking to buy (with taxpayer money, one presumes) Christmas and Hanukkah displays, but disallowing competing displays like the Tree of Knowledge. Apparently, only Christians and Jews are allowed representation in Chester County.
The tree at Xmas was a pagan ritual; the Church rescheduled the birth of Christ and its celebration and integrated the tree in order to lure the pagans into the church...also with the Easter egg and bunny which are symbols of fertility celebrated by pagans in the spring. The lady's delusion about the Xmas tree being Christian shows how people believe things without knowing the background. Everyone should be welcome Atheists, free thinkers, Spiritualists non Western Religions.
GREAT VIDEO! Whatever your belief, if you believe in a LOVING God, you must believe that He Loves EVERYONE! (I can't know...but I suspect, strongly, that God created all the religions to see how well we get along with each other! I'm an Agnostic -- believing in God,but not in any organized religion...at least for me. God has a reason for creating Atheists, too, I believe...TO HELP THE REST OF US THINK! Everyone has a right to their own thought! Thanks again for the video!!!!!
the lady at 3:31 is misinformed, Christmas isn't about the birh of Jesus, don't these Xtians ever read their bibles? And the Xmas tree doesn't represent Xtianity. She needs to read Jeremiah 10 how it describes the evilness of the tree.

God made us "free thinkers". Things like this are the reason our world is suffering. We ARE in the end times. We are so saturated by the insignificant things of this world that God has taken a back seat or even no seat at all. Say what you will but when the time comes I know where I'm going. Do you? Maybe these people should "re-think" their "free thinking". God loves you. Do you love him?
I've got my ticket to the end of the world. Unfortunately I don't VIP seats. :(
Hey, when all you religious leave for heaven, do think the rest of us can sort of have our planet back? Because I would really like to live in a world with actual morality.
Wow. This was very refreshing. While I (very) much understand the frustration we non-believers feel towards religiosity, I could wish we all presented ourselves as calmly, and kindly as the people in this video did. Honey and vinegar and all that. We are not going to win people over by calling them names and getting them all defensive. Many of us, like myself, are recovering christians.
y0nd3r, your point has a little merit however, I think that their is room for all types of methods in the discourse on religion.
People can use the honey method, as you call it but we also need to be able to use the logic and reason we apply to all other aspects of our life to religion.
Since I ridicule people who believe things without evidence, then I have to ridicule the religious. Not to is dishonest to who I am as I believe they are all idiots of the lowest order
When I was still a Christian I thought, What if Adam was able to eat from the tree of life? Then, I realized; The tree of knowledge is a prerequisite to the tree of life.
I really enjoyed taking the survey linked to from Atheist Nexus and Pharyngula. I was a bit puzzled about myself when I chose "skeptic" over "atheist" as a self-characterization. Sure, I'm an atheist (lack of belief in deities), but that's a natural consequence of my applied skepticism.
I then discovered this great video. What's nice about one's tree of knowledge: it grows bigger and bigger as one nibbles away on it!
I wonder if they get less flak since the latest "o'realy crusade" against the Olympia Washington solstice sign. or would it make it worse? I think in the end Christains will get used to it and won't be as shocked.
There is nothing wrong about using christmas to put up the tree. Christmas is actually a pagan celebration that christianity took to supress all pagan religions. The christmas tree is ALSO a pagan symbol. The date 25th of december for Jesus birth (an invented person that never even excisted) was also picked to supress pagan religions as most pagan religions had a celebration on december 25th as that is the winter solstice.
I guess many have never looked into the origins of tne Xmas tree.

Your country is free? You have a friend that is a professor? Here is a question to test both of those concepts:
What is a State? (No opinions, just facts, please.)

Sure you wanted to see a Buddah statue and a Hindu God. Then stick a tree of books bagging them all next to it. Makes sense
