ROCK ON MAN! I have the same guitar except it's this years S570dxqm, same color and everything! I'm about to switch out these pickups because they have no balls. Are you using Evolution on the neck? I'm getting the Evo 2 for my bridge and I'm debating on the Evolution for the neck. How do you like it? BTW Sweet ass guitar, right?

i have this one too. got it used in red for $250 at the local gc. it's incredible how fast the neck is. and it stayed in tune after playing a bunch noize with the trem. amazing deal.

I have this same guitar and my buddy has the prestige. My trem is the z trem I cant recall what my buddy has on his but one day we got drunk and just rapes the trem never went out of tune..Great axe

@metallicarocks66 the difference between an s470 and a prestige NOW is hardly noticeable and before someone tries to argue with me i've owned an s1625tks and it was one of the best guitars i've owned my s540 which i no longer have was the best guitar i've owned to date and you can get them a shit ton cheaper too. craigslist is the way to go

thanx. no i havent had any problems with the trem. the holder does feel weak and that little plastic ring or whatever it is made of in there feels pretty weak too. i abuse the crap out of mine though and so far its holding up pretty good.

I'd rather have that top coil, neck pickup poles occupying the 24th fret octave node than having a pair of fret wires for the 24th fret. That's why the neck pick up selected on the S320 sounds has more characteristics and squeels are easier to squeeze out than any of their 24 fret guitars. I use neck pick ups alot. That's why I settled for the S320 rather than the prestiges because that pickup lines up just perfectly.

Yeah, I realized that after I already posted it. I was like shit. They are good on clean and very low gain, but when you crank your am I think they break up. That is why I'm looking at other pickups, to see what would substitute them.

I have been looking for a new guitar. The S470 is one i want to play before i decide. I have played a jackson DK2M a DKMG an ESP ec 500. I liked them all but for some reason I need to play the s470. Do you think it is better than the jackson Dk series cause i noticed you have one.

i like how thin the s470 is. the mahagany body makes it a little warmer sounding than the alder body of the jackson. my amp is pretty bright so it just fits better. through other amps i might like the dk2m better. both are kickass.
