Woh, talk about being bold to state its the FIRST TRUE -EVER- action mmo. The people who were making this statement sure live in under rocks. Perhaps they don't realise they aren't the only game makers who have done it. And from the clips I just watched, it wont be any different play style than to Rift, Warhammer Online, WoW, etc, etc. So, nothing ground breaking.

@Kindlesmith70 Its vastly different from what you just mentioned. I played the korean version, Unlike the games you listed where you just click a monster and the game auto attacks for you. Theres no auto-attack or auto-lock on. Think Devil May Cry with out a lock-on mechanic and with skills. The only other game that I've played that even plays close to this is Dragon's nest and even then Tera is still different from that title. (since Dragon's nest is more action based like vindictus)

@Flunkorg Still it is hardly the "First" action mmo. It doesn't look too bad compared to some of the stuff I have seen out there (wont name any since everyone has their own opinion). Unfortunately due to my life span and obsessiveness toward the billion games I already own and ones yet to be released I will probably miss out on giving this a try :( I miss the days of fast unlimited download limits *sigh*

2011, looks like a great year for MMO's, looks like there'll be a new generation of them redefining the concept of the genre, hopefully they do a good job and change the stiff and dynamic-less gameplay that wow is, by the way I remember there were a lot of haters from the first videos of TERA in 2009, but I don't see 'em around anymore :D

@Danmax182 Actually it will be interesting to see what will be coming out. There are some promising sounding mmos I have been keeping tabs on for a while. It will be awesome to shift away from the clonings of everquest adaptaions, which had spread like a plague for money hungry developers. One of the reasons I enjoyed EVE and Two Worlds so much -they were different.

@inewkiller Maybe you haven't noticed, but Aion is basically dead. The servers can't support large scale fighting, end game is non-existant, even though 2.0 will add it, Aion waited too long to add much needed content. The abyss sucks, there isn't battlegrounds and the player base is low.

With all new MMO coming out, Aion will fade away.

Graphic of f2p games are really good nowaday, p2p games can already be called "normal" that it has epic graphic. If you compare graphic of f2p games like 5 years ago and in this year, you'll totally see the difference. For example, Allods Online is f2p game with really great graphic and gameplay. Russians put a budget of $12million for creating this game. Vinditus will come out this fall with great graphic and totally new style combat gameplay. but yea Tera is a nice game if you want to pay.
