something like this is better if you go camping and have to control a pets diet. my cats each need different foods and one will eat and eat till she gets sick.. so if i leave to go camping or business trip I cant just leave a big bowl of food out for my catsl ike many people do. I DO have one of these but i only use it on occasions where i ahve to, hand feeding your pets is best methinks
