Some need to understand how ELCA affiliated colleges actually function. GAC is not a Christian College, but rather, a College of the Church. Its context is in Christ, but as an institution of higher education, it confronts realities of the world we live in today and seeks reconciliation. This is its attempt to address these issues for new students who are experiencing an important transition into adulthood. Efforts to hinder it are antithetical to the institution of higher education.
