  • RIP dear JFK.......we think about your braveries...

  • great song!

  • Saw Human League with Howard Jones and Culture Club. They stole the show. And they even perfomed Seconds which is my fave song by them.

  • I wish it could take seconds of someone's time to take Satan's life...

  • The shot that was heard around the world.

  • There is so much more to this song than some people realize, this song was about the assassination of John F Kennedy. It took Seconds of your time to take his life.

  • Wonderful stuff,great GREAT Album

  • Little Red Continental?

  • Funny... I knew this band were "pioneers" but I never knew they made a song this "80's" sounding... LOL

  • 2-D from the gorillaz brought me here :D

  • @IndieChick98

    OMG ME TOO!!!!XD

  • @mewmew802 hahah YAY FOR 2D XD

  • no matter he was a true visionary and this world is left empty without him......rfk,mlk...what could have been?as the world slowly burns in 2011

  • i don't think JFK was this GOD everyone thought he was, his whole family had ties to organized crime, Ted Kennedy was a total scumbag and people still praise him. I certainly think JFK had some good points, but liberals always seem to be looking for these politicians to save them. Look how bad Obama has been as president, he might be the worst USA president ever!

  • A poignant song. Beatiful use of lead-synth patches. JFK was a man of vision and reform. It's not important whether it was LHO or conspiracy, JFK got his brains splattered and nothing -- NOT ONE THING -- is better about the world because if it. Except some songs and movies....

  • this song is about JFK and I wonder why Human League would make this song don't get me wrong it is a awesum song but aren't they british ? overall I love this song it reminds me of when I was 13 now I'm 41 :)

  • @myrnalovescats

really? yes, the man was not British, but he was very popular around the world. Kinda reminds me of someone...

  • It's a damn good song! .. But if it's about John F. Kennedy, as some state, I've gott'a wonder what THAT could posibly mean to a guy who grew up in England during that time?

  • RIP John Fitzgerald Kennedy 1917-1963...

"'Dont Let It Be Forgot, That Once There Was A Spot, For One Brief Shining Moment, That Was Known As Camelot.'There'll Never Be Another Camelot'"

  • England 2010 world cup winners

  • It took seconds of your time to change the course of history and define the 60's decade away from the "innocence" of the 50's.

  • I was into punk when this song first came out. I refused to listen to any New Romantic crap at the time. Now, 30 years later I relalized what a damn fine song this is. Those Roland Jupiter-4s sound poweful. I need to listen to the Dare album now. Jesus, might even go the whole-hog and get a Flock of Seagulls hair-cut. Seriously, awesome song. 10/10

  • @TS50ER Lol TS, I've had the same thought(s) lately.

  • @TS50ER what..like chandler's in friends, when he was a teenager??

  • @TS50ER Love your enthusiasm, isnt music just the spice we require to live!!!

  • i heard 3 people from us died in haiti. now we send our excess military there. we send destroyers to a disaster -- to destroy it all. then talkin heads say it was because---

  • fukin brilliant gem .....immaculate

  • Es un tema cargado de un "feeling" si bien es cierto es un tema plano, pero que forma de quedarse en la cabeza...................

  • This was the B-side to "Don't You Want Me" on 45vinyl in the U.S. . That's how I was first introduced to the song.

  • Sad song, so very sad. Makes you stop and think!!!!!

  • @4052000 yeah but only for a second

  • damm good song!

  • Really like this song as one of my all time favourites along with " HUMAN ". Saw them live at Kings Lynn festival and they were brilliant. Been a fan for all their career. Would love to see them live again.

  • Mutts Nuts

  • Absolutely LOVE this song... saddly beautiful... yet beautifully sad...

  • total arsehole yet arsehole totally....hahahaha..just kidding with words

  • te gek voor woorden. groetjes van uit Antwerpen anno 2009. Yes, dit nummer is tijdloos.

  • Saw them last night at the Mountain Winery in Saratoga, CA. along with ABC, Belinda Carlise, and Flock of Seagulls. HL closed the show....the crowd went wild and they were AWESOME!! Memories.........

  • Brilliant! Phil Oakey rules!

  • love this song, one of their best, loved it when they sang it live at Lincoln last November.

  • it is about JFK

  • is this song about JFK? i heared on the grapevine it was about John Lennon!! would someone like to clarify this please?

  • Just saw The Human League last night in Vegas. Phil Oakley said the song is about JFK.

  • when this song came out,O.M.D came out with "electricity" played almost back to back on KROQ in pasadena calif.

  • I remember KROQ would sometimes play this and then play the next song on the album which is "I am The Law" and the two together used to just wreck me- I'd cry like somebody turned on a faucet! Gotta go get out my vinyl now and hear the 2 together... :) Thx for posting it!

  • I'm just the opposite. I was excited by finding Seconds all by itself, seperate from I am the Law. Seconds always made me cry just from the sad sound of it. But I never thought about the words. Now I really want to cry knowing it's about JFK. (Or rather, sounds like it's about Oswald?)

  • And "I am The Law" is about Judge Dredd...

  • I remember when I was 19 years old sitting in traffic and this song came on. One of my all time favs.

"Waiting for your fame, after the parade has gone."

  • It is about JFK... check out the back sleeve to the 7" 'Don't you want me ?' single for clues!

  • Yes, it is about JFK.

  • hi, this song is about what happened to john lennon, not jfk. and yes, i know i should forgive and move on, but what a cunt

  • Nah, it's definitely about JFK; that second in Dallas, "after the parade has gone". I remember the shows at the time and all Adrian Wright's images were of Kennedy, and in interviews it was always talked of in terms of JFK and Oswald although in all respect it could be seen to be about Lennon too.

  • @mducker1 crap troll, doesn't wash with me.

  • @onlywhenpissed huh?

  • hggggggggggggggggg

  • absolutely JFK asassination

  • Electrotastic

  • Saw them in my home town earlier this year they were superb, place was jumping.

  • Great song. This and 'Darkness' are my favorites off of the album, 'Dare'.

  • 'Darkness' is my favourite song on the 'Dare' album.

  • Love this group! Also when Phillip Oakley, the lead singer did some other work like Electric Dreams or Goodbye Bad Times, just as good as if he were with the Human League. Absolutely a great talent.

  • my favorite human league song.

  • what a voice ...fantastic...

  • i was never sure whether this song was about the death of john f kennedy or john lennon..i love the song

  • I was thinking John Lennon

  • JFK.

  • either would work, although when I first heard it I assumed jfk

  • its about us all...

  • who needs the video, saw them in l.a
