Had a link @ 130km using Motorola Canopy 54600 and external Andrew Offset Antenna 34db.

Max. Link Rate (over the air) ~240Mbps (Canopy supports up to 300mbps)

Link range depends only on 2 things. Antenna + Tx Power.

Transmission rates on mostly wireless cards goes to 1Mbit/s to 54Mbit/sec (some duplicates the modulated band reaching 108Mbps). Some Atheros cards with XR technology modulates the half and quarter of the usual bandwidth reaching 0.5Mbps and 0.25Mbps.

So, my friend, if you are having an effective 20kbps using a 1mbps link, that means technically you are receiving 1 correct packet out of 50! This is 98% of data failure. If you call this fair, well, then don't tell me what's bad for you.

I have 8 km link in B mode and I can push approx 450kb/s which is full of 11 Mbit in urban area. Which means there are a lot of enterference.

You can achieve that link w/ mikrotik and ur ping result will be 1 or 2 ms.

I have a link with 11 km @ 1300 KB/s 802.11G using ack timeout for 25200 meters

PS: the full 11Mbit can reach the 700 kb/s you dont have such a good link.
