You have to get used to it with South Africans. I do like them, and I like the fact they use our slang and terms over Yank slang or terms, but dear God are they defensive about their home. Before I left school I once had a South African IT teacher. She DID have a strong accent, I don't care what anyone says, but she would very often talk about South Africa, how it was more beautiful than England.
