Thanks to the North Pacific Gyre, many sea birds die from ingesting plastics .... mostly of Asian origin. Plastic Bic lighters, razors, tooth brushes. You name it. The adults bring it back to the chicks and regurgitate. The chicks fill up on this crap and eventually stop eating as they feel full. Midway is an amazing place.
