Though I think Rhydian sang this song better, more pleasing to me, and I much preferred his voice overall (though Leon also gave some fine performances), I think the song suited Leon's story better and he performed it better, something to do with his humble background? I don't know.
Rhydian's voice fits the gospel styling of the song.

I think based on their final performance it is clear to see how Leon won as Rhydian's opera style voice didn't suit this song, but overall i do think that rhydian was better as his style of songs and voice is not always listened to as it's all pop and R&B,, loved them both i must say,, some of rhydians songs were jst mesmerizing x

I think that Rhydian came 2nd because he didnt have any real heart in his voice, he was all vocal but no emotion. Leon had heart and a voice, that and he could hit that high note on when you believe. Thats why Leon won X factor, nonetheless Rhydian is definitely doing better then Leon,weird eh?

why the fck did rhydian not win!? Leon was crap AND he got dropped by his label. Just goes to show that the act who comes 2nd always does better than the winner (exception being in 2006 when leona won)

Both Rhydain & Leon have amazing voices.
This is when X Factor was great, having different styles of singers go head to head.
Rhydian is the best selling artist to come from any of the shows.
Leon lost his contract (with Sony I think) but is in mid delvelopment of his comeback album.
But I must admit that I was shocked that Leon won.

Though I think Rhydian sang this song better, more pleasing to me, and I much preferred his voice overall (though Leon also gave some fine performances), I think the song suited Leon's story better and he performed it better, something to do with his humble background? I don't know.
Rhydian's voice fits the gospel styling of the song.

I think based on their final performance it is clear to see how Leon won as Rhydian's opera style voice didn't suit this song, but overall i do think that rhydian was better as his style of songs and voice is not always listened to as it's all pop and R&B,, loved them both i must say,, some of rhydians songs were jst mesmerizing x

The X-Factor is a show to find that mysterious factor that makes a performer, isn't it? It's not just a singing competition ... if it were just a singing contest, Rhydian would definitely have won! His singing is wonderful! But, er, I like Leon's version of this song better. It was more sincere ^^

Rhydian was definiatally the better singer as recent events show. Leon fans obviously voted a lot more then rhydian fans
Im surprised he won if im honest - he was in the final 2 enough times to be in the firing line

I think that Rhydian came 2nd because he didnt have any real heart in his voice, he was all vocal but no emotion. Leon had heart and a voice, that and he could hit that high note on when you believe. Thats why Leon won X factor, nonetheless Rhydian is definitely doing better then Leon,weird eh?

Why didn't the 14 year old girls that voted Leon Jackson through week in week out buy his album,they let him get dropped.
Rhydian is the best male singer ever on the x factor,probably followed by Joe Mcelderry.Rhydian deserved to win,he, Nikki and Same Difference should have been the final 3 that year.

This one was just average, actually. Goes to show that even a versatile voice like Rhydian's - and he is pure and simple talent - cannot sing all songs. Poor choice for hiom, I think. his mentor let him down here with the song. He ended up not sounding nearly as good as he is.

When the euphoria and hype dies away after a few months, only the voice is left. That's why he's a great singer and deserves all the success in the world. Quite simply, he has the voice. And that's what sells records!

Yo it's like he's trying to cross over from opera to pop and it doesn't work for me, His voice tremors a lot and I think Leon's interpretation was better.
