This is also my fav SP song..though Warlock comes close..this whole record, when i was in high school, is what seperated me from jocks, metal heads, punks..i was different..people looked at me like i just like noise. I do.
i'm 18...loved skinny puppy since I was 14...tdp is my favorite album... this song is one of the best but too much to choose from....dead lines is probably my favorite ever. peace :)
I'm knocking @ 50( in the 2011) & will not ever stop listening to them...
Thanx to the guy on the loading dock @ Network Records, Next to the Chrysler SPO plant in Mississauga, Ont My ears were opened up to them....Something really good to listen to coming back to the States.... My life has ever been changed by them ....
It even influenced my personal music abilities as well ♥
From the very first time I heard this group ( Thanx Brent Bambury \ Brave New Waves ) for putting this group in my ear. I was in my early 30's when I 1st heard of Puppy... I'm knocking at the door of 50, and my ear aint wore out yet listening to Puppy ! A time bubble that i'm glad \ happy \ estastic to be trapped in...
zackh123, I LOVE YOU BROTHER! I always wanted to watch these. I saw SP on every tour since CF&M (except the European tours, duh) and the Too Dark Park show was the best concert performance I've ever seen. I still have dreams with the six armed creature with a TV for a face.
Im also 35 and will never stop listening to SP, If Dwayne were still here it would be so awesome, but hes on the other side, waiting .... RIP brother, SP 4 LIFE!!
I found this album at goodwill. I was more than happy to shell out two dollars for it, can you believe someone would just give this away? Great album. SP rocks.
are u gay lol? ur matuer commenting my videos about shitty music when i could create a better video with my pirated vegas in 10 mins then this bullshit its sad how mad u get just because u fail at life gtfo youtube
the vidoes i make are super hard to get out there. if you're reading this and appreciate film as an art form, i would love if you went and checked it out and left a comment! thankss =)
I was only about 4 durring SP peak but I was surprised to learn how popular they were in the late 80s and early 90s. It seems that after harcore and before grunge if you wanted to listen to hardrock and had more sense than to listen to hair metal SP was what you listened to
I remember in 1991 trying to play this at a party and it freaked everybody out lol I was saying, C'mon, man. This is Skinny Puppy! And they pretended to understand and said, "Yeah, I know, but let's just listen to AC/DC again." I campaigned for these guys! Even had SKNY PPY on my license plate ;) The best...
Pearls before swine. When I was 14, I heard Rabies and thought it was the coolest shit I've ever heard. These dudes have been my favorite band ever since, but so many people will just go, "Whoa, what the fuck are you listening to? Skinny Puppies? Why are they called that?" Fucking retards.
I've been listening to them since about that age, too, and I still can't find anyone who finds them more than 'tolerable'. It's fucking depressing haha Skinny Puppy speaks to me so much.
I'm 40...I will NEVER stop listening to Skinny Puppy...in fact, the older I get, the more I love and respect thier accomplishments and influence over my life, as well as thier contributuion to music as true art and rebellion in it's purest, most honest form. They will be remembered long after 99% of music is long gone and dead...along with Floyd, Dylan and Hendrix, they will survive everlasting. Pioneers of the highest order and creators of something rare and unique and timeless. I miss Dwayne=(
@matthewme23 this is exactly how I feel. the SP albums (before '95) and everything cEvin Key has been associated with since are absolute classics... Vivisect VI has been my #1 favorite album for 20 years now...
@matthewme23 please allow to further this comment by sayinfg that i am 34 and i cant agree more with this,i mean....its the beginning of dubstep the beginning of all intelligent electronica period...this started it all.the trash i hear on the radio is vomitous.
@matthewme23 i feel exactly the same. i am just about 30, was exposed to them by a random tape lent to me (TDP). it literally changed my life, and my perception of what music is. it sounds heavy, i guess because it is? Dwayne's mixing of classical theory/ techniques with noise and sound collage was revolutionary in it's own right - and especiallyy for its time!
this shit is way better than their new shit. their new shit blows ass. i hate digital on almost all aspects of it. it's why i hate EMB. analog forever!
The new album does have some analog, but yes, it does not sound quite the same [I too hate digital, for the most part]...But live, they are still godlike and the synths and drums are far more organic and analog than the studio release.
this is my favorite SP song. sends chillz down my spine each and every listen. i like their new stuff but its too bad they arent doing the next level psychotic dark stuff they did during TDP and LR. those two albums set a precedence for industrial that has not been reached since imo.
That really progressive, dark, hypnotic shit... yeah that was the good shit. TDP, Mind: The Perpetual, Cleanse, Fold, and Manipulate... I have those ones and I love all of them. And Rabies, which is good, but a bit more guitar oriented. Greater Wrong was good for a comeback. I like dance music, so I dug it. I wish they would go all dark, progressive, head-trip again though. Mythmaker was kinda weak.
Mythmaker was weak because they used to much softsynths. Digital/Software will never have the emotion and aggression of Analog. At least they brought back the vocal horror samples on MM.
I vividly remember the "Chair of No Cares" from this tour. Unbelievable live show. Saw them 3 times. Once for the stage show, once for the music, and once for the crowd. True pioneers.
This is also my fav SP song..though Warlock comes close..this whole record, when i was in high school, is what seperated me from jocks, metal heads, punks..i was different..people looked at me like i just like noise. I do.

The "Scared?" samples are from a sci-fi movie called Commuinion with Chistopher Walken
