Yes it's not easy. Some inches to short and you will be respawned. Need practice.

Yes you can. Be sure to boost earlier in the little water before the jump to have enough speed for it.

Some good Online Racers call me a cheater doing the shortcut. Is this a cheat? I don't really think so, because it's a clean jump without a respawn. I'm not sure the developers didn't want that in the game.

its not a cheat, its actually more skill than anything. this isn't an easy jump to do even if you make it look like it is. if you're in the air too long you get respawned and the same if you end up in the water. do you use R1 right before leaving the ground? i do because i can't seem to do it without it...in a plugger at least.

Totaly agree. Video is 2 month old so i improved the jump a lot since that, but it's still not an easy one. Best is to be not to quick, just little boost before the jump, jump very much on the right close to the rock and angle to the right too. Best landing is near the end of the water so your plugger is slow down by the water. Immediately press Boost and R1.

I don't use R1 before leaving the ground only by landing. But i come from the very left to the very right before the jump. Hmm, R1 by leaving... have to try that :)

well its because i can't get the angle right when taking off so that helped lol. some guy just used that shortcut online and passed me (i went the normal lower way) on the last lap...i still cant do it right often enough, its frustrating me.
