This is the very first movie I ever saw. We were taken to the theater to see it as part of a little girl's birthday party. We were all 8 or 9 years old. It was very thrilling and we all wanted to be stewardesses, of course! I never forgot it. Never became a stewardess, sadly. Love PanAm program, can't help but put it together with this movie.

This was Dolores Hart's last film before she became a nun and entered a very different profession and world. I guess maybe she tho9ught tshe was flying even higher than this film.

What amazed me is that she was even prettier than Pamela Tiffin, who was my idea of gorgeous.

@44032 I read about Sister Delores...she may have taken the veil, but after half a century remains a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences. In other words, she still receives an Oscar ballot and votes on the year's best in film.

Pamela Tiffin also stepped away from Hollywood, in a different direction--she returned to school, and earned a degree from Columbia University. I understand she was class valedictorian.

A great moment is then the stewardess go up the stairs to the aircraft and all the passengers are already on board patiently sitting in their seats. If only!!!!!

You know it's funny you mention that! I flew with U.S. airways from Paris to Phil the other day. The aircraft was cramped dirty, smelled like piss and the f/a had blue surgical gloves on to deal with the passengers. I fly Aeroflot today and WOW!! Super beautiful f/as clean aircraft lots of room. Just a nice flight. America is finished.

i depends what airlines you fly. most us based airlines are very much crappy. but asian and arabian gulf airlines are luxurious. try flying korean air and qatar airways and your opinion of air travel will change.
