In an interview years ago whenever this song came out, Hyde said the lyrics are written as if from the perspective of Mary watching her Son dying on the cross and basically begging God to take her instead. Just a mother begging to save her son. Nothing much more than that. Hyde just throws in lots of religious imagery into his concerts because he's Japanese and it's a pop culture cool thing to do with imported Western religion stuff. Chorus melody is good especially with key change at "life" :)

in un intervista ha detto che ha scritto questo album dopo che è stato in qualche chiesa in europa e dice che si è sentito purificare l'anima e ha voluto ricreare la stessa atmosfera, ma che alla fine non appartiene a nessuna religione particolare.... infatti si nota dal testo che è cristiano perchè parla di Gesù, ma non tutto quello che parla di Gesù è cristiano.... cmq a parte questo la prima volta che l'ho sentita mi è piaciuta

@andreasmariosetiawan o.o Well I'm not devout but I was raised under the christian umbrella. If you listen to the song, he's asking god to save his child and to take his own life if it will save his child's life. I wouldn't put too much stock in the lyrics personally.I think this whole album is based on his fascination with religion, because hyde himself doesn't claim any major religion, at least not too my knowledge. Hope that helps.
