It's also a class issue. In most rural areas, white country folks are cynical towards college-educated, people w/ roots from the city. Aside from Hillary pretending that she's a working-class girl & fall out from the Rev. Wright debacle, there are social, cultural, & class aspects to why Obama is not doing well among white working-class people. Generally speaking, they traditionally lean conservative. To Moderate democrats from rural towns, Hillary is the lesser of two evils.
