  • you've not talked about optical character recognition, i am looking for video of it.

  • Hi - Can you confirm that now you have Windows 7 installed you don't experience the XT problem with external USB devices crashing the N-Trig system?

I'd really appreciate the feedback... Also - How is this computer at playing back 720p video in full-screen?

  • What sort of external USB devices are you using? I used to get problems with the N-Trig screen not waking up when you resume from sleep, but in Windows 7 that seems to be sorted. I've not had any problems while the laptop is docked either.

It's not a great device for playing back 720p flash based video such as Youtube, as it really doesn't have the CPU power for that, however wmv and H.264 based mp4 files play great in Windows Media Player!

  • @cromozoneg13 : I don't actually have an XT, and was considering picking one up as they are priced quite nicely now.

I had read that USB devices could crash the N-Trig system, as the N-Trig system is connected via an internal USB, and somehow this got trashed when using other USB devices... But it sounds like that issue has been resolved in Win7.

Sorry to harp on, but can you confirm that your h264 videos were in 720p? If it can play those in WMP I think I'd be happy.

  • Great! :)

  • useless

  • many thanks mate...

  • So it means generally we can install windows 7 into any opertaing system but the PC should have a touchscreen capable monitor. Is it right?

  • If you want to use touchscreen functionality then you need to have a touch capable screen. You don't need a touchscreen to run Windows 7.

  • I C thanks mate

  • But it didn't response when when I tried to touch screen mate

  • You'd need a touchscreen capable monitor...

  • Can we install Windows 7 into desktop?

  • Nothing to stop you...

  • I've had problems using the on screen keyboard to log on to my laptop. My solution is to use the fingerprint scanner to log on.

    It's a lot easier.

Thanks for the video, it's great to see multitouch demonstrated like that.

  • Looks great! I'm looking at multitouch tablets at the moment, mainly to compliment my XDA Orbit 2.

Do you know the best Multitouch Tablet deals (UK)?

    great video mate,

    Brian :)

  • Probably going to be a refurbished Dell Latitude XT, either from Dell directly or from one of the multitude of eBay sellers :P

They are still fantastic little machines imo.

  • Thanks mate, my watch list is filling up!!
