  • the best review

  • Man - there is about 40 reviews for this headset on YouTube, but yours is the only one where they actually tested it and showed us how it works, i.e. the TV test - great video man!

  • great job on the video - this is how all video's should be done when people are reviewing headsets so people can get an idea of what they're going to purchase prior to spending money.

  • I was going to get the blueant t1 hands free i had the z9i and broke 3 of them so this is not hands free as fare as answering call but it dose seam to block out noise better then the blueant t1?????????????right and is it built better???????????

  • @mofoco1971 I have dropped this headset a few times, and it continued to work as a charm... Motorola Admits that the weakspot is that bump on the earpiece...dont squeeze, pinch, or let it hit anything...it will go bad. I had that happen to my first one, but Motorola took it on warranty... They have a pretty good record of standing by their product.

  • appreciate this demonstration.. good review

  • great review, I was wondering does it use bone conduction to transmit the hearing as well i.e. do you hear the voice on the line directly in your head

  • @AlphaClassAndroid - No - the hearing is done via the earpiece...

  • @2L82XLR8 ah well i suppose we'll have to wait for that tech to trickle down from the military as well...

  • review that actually makes sense now i everyone knws wat there getting for there money lol

  • Great, accurate and informative review. I love my Endeavour HX1.

  • Great, accurate review. I love my Endeavour HX1.

  • how much does this little bad boy cost?

  • Brilliant idea, using the units mic to record the audio!! Excellent demonstration of the Stealth mode. That is intelligible though a bit muffled, slightly reminiscent of the Star Wars "copy, gold leader" though not quite as robotic sounding.

  • sound like you are under water, but it really good to cut loud noses. Man, I work with machines and sometime I can't hair a dam thing on the phone, so i might buy one too.

  • Your video is the only one showing how well this headset works. I bought one on Friday after watching your demo, and i really like it. I got mine from the Sprint store while picking up a new HTC Hero, they let me have the HX1 for $97 as a deal sweetener. anyhow it works great ,thanx.

    ps, I smashed the box!

  • helps me a lot. this blocks out background noise about 20% better than the jawbone icon does but you so sound like a robot its not even funny. bestbuy has a pretty sweet return policy and they carry all brands.buy, play, return if you dont like it.

  • Thanks a lot I think I just found my next headset. I prefer the earbuds to go inside the ear canal anyways, so this should be an ideal fit for me.

  • impressive

  • Thank you for this review! How brilliant of you to to record your piece using the actual microphone, and to demo both modes. Thank you!

  • Thank you - I dont know why no one ever thought to do the same...thats the BEST way to show off how good a headset works. Im so gladd the audio came out that good. I used to record voicemails to test how good this headset is.

If you want to know how I did it...let me know...

  • @GadgetyMV heey man is this thing universal, like will it work with my lg banter?

  • If only crystaltalk would work like the Plantronics voyager pro's simple dual mic noise cancellation. Now, that would be great. Unfortunately it's very far from that.

  • As far as I am concerned your HX1 is the BEST technology to date...CNET and all the other reviews are agreeing...The HX1 is the "Iphone" if the bluetooth Market...at least until the next best thing comes out...Dont see anything out there as unique as the HX!...Double Mics are too program intensive, so you will always have issues.

    Enjoy your headset...

  • Well, I am sort of a tech geek, so I already purchased the voyager pro, and ordered the prime. (out of stock in my area :( ). The pro's noise canceling is very impressive. I also performed the "hair dryer test": it could only be heard when switched on, then almost nothing. However I had to speak louder than normal for my speech not to break up. On the other hand, hx1 in normal mode didn't seem to do anything to suppress external noise.

  • Hey man! Motorola should be grateful to you, as I watched your vid yesterday, and today I already have my HX1. :) Fortunately there is a motorola shop close to where I work. The thing I noticed however is that it doesn't absolutely cancel noises. I called my other phone, recorded it with an mp3 player, while starting a hair dryer next to my head in stealth mode. When I listened to the recording, I could hear it.. Quietly, but it was there.

  • Remember, your jaw is your mic...if you have an extremely loud noise near you, your jaw will eventually pick it up, but slightly. Im told that it is also part of the circuitry.,..the bone mic can actually differentiate your voice from the outside noise. I was in my car once with the car stereo really loud (playing Metallica), and I also got that slight noise, but when I recorded it, the noise was negligible...not even my friends knew what the noise was, until they heard me say what it was.

  • lol u need to make a vid on how to open that box it took me for ever to fig that out to

  • You know - I actually thought about doing that... ;)

  • i just got mine but i sound so quiet to every one. its like no one can hear me or i sound far away unless i take off the head set and talk into it, then i soound perfect. is mine a dud? or did something wrong?

  • are you sounding quiet in Stealth Mode, or in normal Crystal talk mode?

In Stealth Mode, its important to have the earpiece inseted into your ear correctly. If the rubber ball on the tip is not sitting on your ear canal, you wont get a good clean signal from your jaw.

If your problem is coming when you are talking in the Normal mode, then you might have a defective unit.

Let me know in detail exactly what you are experiencing.

  • the stealth mode worked great it was when i was using the crystal talk mode. i though it might be defective but if moved the unit close to my mouth i sounded great. when i would put it in my ear with crystal talk mode on i would sound far or very quiet

  • @RonQuiroga: I think I've found the solution for your problem: when the headset touches your face, sometimes the mic that picks up your voice is blocked. I found that when I don't use the ear hook, I get a lot of complaints. With ear hook however, the headset sits much better on/in your ear, and your voice stays clear and loud in normal "crystaltalk" mode.

  • Cool demonstration...

  • Thanks a million for the video...great job!!!

  • Anytime.

  • Thanks for the demonstration! This is exactly what I was looking for, and no one had posted.

How is the headset volume? I know with my H12, it never seemed to go loud enough to be able to hear the caller when I was in a loud area.

  • Headset volume is very good for normal calls - but in environments where youd be using Stealth Mode - you may find it tough - especially in places like in a loud club or stadium. Works great in windy areas - Jawbone cant come close.

  • talking under water...-_-

  • Like i said - the poiunt of it all is to be coherent in a loud environment - Not to give you THX camprable sound...DUH!!!

  • after watching this review I can made up my mind to go for Jawbone~

  • May I ask why? - jawbone couldnt give you better noise CANCELLATION than that.

  • yeah best noise CANCELLATION but a muffled garbage voice. usually people really needed is just a good balance between 'audio quality' & 'noise cancellation' for everyday use, Jawbone seems sit right between Plantronics and Motorola in that case

  • My guess is that you dont find yourself using headsets in environments like I do. Where I work, I find myself in constuction sites, and places that a Jawbone just doesnt work in. My friends can attest to it - as a matter of fact - Im sure they would be glad to give you their Jawbones - as they just got the HX1 after seeing how well it works for our needs.

  • When can we Buy this ?

  • Its available now...I heard that Sprint PCS has exclusivity to distribute the headset - But I go tmine on Ebay for 100 bucks...thats the way to go.
