Contemporary war scenarios tend to be in the urban centers. If you see USA´s aproach to war (step: 1. Bombing until the enemy hardware it´s obliterated and 2. Take control of the population or "pacifying", "Free" or whatever they call it.) You could notice that the real war ocurs on step 2, when the green card craving soldiers has to enter the city or jungle. I think that this is the factor that made systema so especialized in desarming using knives and shovels against bullets.

Looks great and all but I would think the guy with the AK may also have a little training and know how to avoid a lot of the problems the guy in this video is experiencing. The guy with the knife wins as long as the guy with the AK74 plays stupid.

It all comes down to who the better combatant is. It could really go either way, but I'd rather go up against someone if I had training as opposed to begin out in the woods against someone and I didn't have any training.

ROFL! AK is very robust gun. AK was hardly tested, thrown from high, puted it to water and mud. After this AK can fire. So this is not problem for AK.
