You play beautifully. Don't pay attention to the negative comments. There are a great many critics on YouTube. You are still very young, and while I do disagree there is no emotion in your playing, sometimes those aspects of playing become more apparent as we age because of the greater number of life experiences we attain. I would love to learn this piece someday. I never get to play solos, as I am too busy teaching and orchestral playing. Someday..... :)

Even a monkey can learn to play violin. It is not a circus you know. What matters is to play MUSIC - however easy or difficult - but to play it with your heart and soul.

Tres bien. The most serious working point here is the wrist of bow arm. Such wonderful playing, but flexibilty at the frog, so not to block the energies with bow change is very important at this level of playing.

Some members of the Jury came to talk to me. One Bulgarian violonist said the competitions and music hardly go together. One older participant consoled us by telling that Katariina should not be sad because she knows herself that she did well. AND this really IS the most important thing - MUSIC itself and what it gives to those receiving it. Never the politics.

Thanks for askin. The level of the participants was pretty high. BUT there was one younger boy from Germany who played the same piece - in a different style. So half of the jury liked the boy more and the other half Katariina - they argued about an hour. Finally the Jury came out of the room, many of them having sad faces... So the boy had 2nd Prize and Katariina had nothing. Of course she cried...
