  • shit he's got moustache!

  • Great programme!

  • TECHNO

  • I really miss this show. In its place - Deal or No Deal; just about says it all really.

  • Coming next...Countdown!

  • col2006ie -"Let me point out, I only have the commercial break and the end credits .." - The credits were the best part.

exsquilax - "he look a bit gay lol" - Evidence would suggest he definitely isn't!!!

crunkbeatz -"Great to hear the extended original closing theme again, a shame they had to condense it ..!" - I suspect C4 thought viewers were channel-hopping.

DERBYSHIREPOET - "William G Stewart with a TAche!! haha" - And check out the cheap suit. Series 2 was more polished.

  • William G Stewart with a TAche!! haha

  • i just LOVE the theme tune. Too much

  • It is surprising that William had facial hair.

  • What a programme. What a tache. What a theme. Bring it back!!

  • 'TACHE!

  • stewarty

  • I used to watch 15 to one all the time with my parents. I love the show it had a great theme tune. Who hosted 15 to one after William G Stewart? Why did they axe such a great gameshow ? I wonder what William G Stewart is up to now? Bring back 15 to One back to Channel 4? I don't think William G Stewart would host the show if it came came back would he? maybe you never know. I love William G Stewart and 15 To One forever and I always will. I hope there is a DVD version of this game. xxxxxxxxxxx.

  • yep MegadriveMic I do think it's better than the newer version, mainly cos I like 80s music though

  • theme tune rocks,

  • better than the new version.

  • Mard to believe this gem has been off our screens for 5 1/2 years. We need it back, but who would host it? I personally would put my name forward but any more experienced suggestions?

  • William G Steweard did 15 years of Fifteen to one. (1988 - 2003)

  • that is a great theme, so 80s lol

  • do you think it's better than the new version of it?

  • If only someone could redo this and upload it to Bother's Bar like some have with countdown and a rave version of the Crystal Maze

  • I can honestly say that I don't remember William G Stewart with a moustache.

  • This version of the 15to1 theme tune is better than the new one (with saxaphones).

  • he looks a bit gay lol

  • I didn't realise he had a moustache!

The music was brilliant until about 2001, when a horrible remixed version of it came out, which was totally lacking in the punchy hard-edge style that the original version had.

If I could make one change to today's TV, it would be to bring back this show. I can't understand why it was ditched.

One of the best things about the show was the slightly pompous, censorious way that WG Stewart would correct people who'd got a question wrong.

  • @ajs41 oh my god mate you're so right! this version is so much punchier

  • the first version of the theme tune was so good.

  • I remember this show when it was on channel 4 in the 90s i used to watch it when i got home from school.

  • Blimey! I thought 15-1 only started in the 1990s (but I was only three in 88!)

  • 1980s William G Stewart doesn't look as menacing as he did when 15-to-1 was canned. It's that 'tache, never take anyone with a 'tache seriously!

  • The music on 15-1 was so catchy!

  • Bring it back, the only thing you see William on now is The People's Quiz for The Lottery, and I don't know if they are bringing that back, bring back the legend and the legendary show! (I prefer him without the moustache)

  • Great to hear the extended original closing theme again, a shame they had to condense it in later years! Almost sounds good enough to be made into a dance tune! We can dream.....

  • I've always liked this themetune - has a very upbeat quality to it for such a serious quiz show. The jazzy version introduced towards the end of its run wasn't a patch on this and for me signalled the end of Fifteen to One.

  • "Twelve down, three to go..."

  • Do please stay with us

  • has teher been a situation like that?

  • Of 12 down 3 to go in Round 1? From what I know it happened once or twice

  • Correction, the biggest cull in Round 1 was 11.

  • Indeed,Hoddersrevenge; the situation of '11 down,4 to go' in round one occurred in series 29 of 2000. That particular show was won by Gena Davies, who reached the grand final of series 29 with a score of 243.

  • Haven't heard the synthed theme tune in years.

  • Maybe 15 to 1 should be brought back. But if William G Stewart chooses not to present it who will?? Someone clever..

  • I'd do it

Now two questions each in the first round, one correct answer from you to survive and we begin with Hoddersrevenge

  • I could probably have a crack at it as well ^^, inject a bit of youth into it.

  • Me and you to do the kiddies one

I'm 17, one show you can be WGS then you can be Phillip the next

  • The thing is Channel 4 is so cluttered with daytime junk and the craze of Deal or No Deal, it would probably have to relocate to another channel such as BBC2 or similar and do it with 6th form students.

  • What's that slug doing underneath his nose?

  • That's his moustache.

  • Nice tasche William G.

Don't know what it was but I could never stick Fifteen To One, just seemed really boring. In those days it altenated the slot and series with Countdown, so I couldn't wait for Countdown to return.

  • Let me point out, I only have the commercial break and the end credits from this edition of Fifteen to One, and I have no further material relating to Fifteen to One to upload.

  • One of the very few series of Fifteen to One to have a live studio audience.
