  • am i the only one popping a boner because of how real they look??

  • The skin is VERY realistic upclose, and on the face, the eyes look a bit fake though.

  • You don't have to keep their legs that long. The models usually come equipped to adjust it to whatever bodies you can come up with. The characters I've made from the Victoria model have been 5-5, 5-7 and as tall as 6 even. Thin, curvy, heavy, all adjustable. V2 was (and still is) the best in my opinion as I hate injections.

  • Cool! Love how realistic these models are.

  • @Soteniliene This is the "ELITE" model. It's meant to be a supermodel perfect woman. get a grip will you, if you have this model then you would know the morphs to make her the stumpy frumpy woman you want to see.

  • they even have pores

  • te rompo el culito

  • i put together a more realistic Michael and Victoria dancing...this is what the people really want to see..Very HAWT ..you can see it under my videos.

  • there so flat o.O

  • 0:16 looks like Megan foxx.

  • really nice but it is not only the quality of models that makes perfection, unfortunately we need to learn very well how rendering works...

  • Very nice. Imagine if those models were rendered in mental ray, or lightwave's render engine. Gives me chills

  • Pretty cool.

  • I need to place a Poser model over a footage shot with unstable cam while still being able to manipulate the 3d mesh.

Any ideas? It would be easy if Poser had a motion tracking plugin. Does DAZ have such feature?

  • I've done this quite a bit with Poser. You must first motion track your footage in another prog (I recommend Syntheyes). Import the camera data into Poser, and then the footage as your bg. Then animate away.

Export your animation w/o the background as a png sequence, then composite it onto the footage in After Effects. This gives you the most flexibility in matching color, grain, etc.

  • How do you import camera data into Poser ?

I have Poser 7 and I can't find a way to import camera path.

  • I'm also running Poser 7.

Syntheyes can export the tracking data as a "Poser python" script. You import it in Poser by going to File-> Run python script.

  • I have imported the py script into Poser 7 unfortunately the tracking is lost. I have used the 150-frame sequence footage called `flyover`on Syntheye's demo page and converted it into Huffyuv AVI 720x480 25 fsp.. I have adjusted Poser settings to match the background video.

I imported the AVI background, then run the PY script I exported but it didn't match.

Neither the track points not the Poser model don't match the background.

Don't know what I'm doing wrong.

  • With bikinis.

  • How to edit it?

  • Why don't you say something about how long her legs are? Not all women have long legs. Why not say something about her facial symmetry? No one has perfect symmetry.

If you are going to criticize this 3d model for being flawless, don't just include what you see is "wrong.". This isn't supposed to be the ideal woman, it's supposed to be the ideal model for 3d artwork.

If you want a truly realistic model, stay away from computer generated images. If its not real, then its not realistic.

  • It's not so much a debate about realism. What concerns me is that DAZ is constantly promoting and reinforcing the idea of the almost anorexic, shapeless, androgynous doll as a template. Of course you can to an extent morph these away, but it is interesting how tediously predictable DAZ is in its presentation of catwalk type creatures who rather urgently need to sit down and eat a hearty meal!

  • The character itself is extremely flexible. You can create a morbidly obese character or an extremely emaciated one using the same model.

What ends up in their promotional trailer is just business as usual for the graphics industry or really society in general. Has very little to do with DAZ and the only way you're going to avoid it is to never leave the house and entertain yourself exclusively with non-illustrated books and radio.

  • @Soteniliene who are you responding to?

  • they have morphs go to the daz3d website and look for "Luscious Curves"

and they aren't going to be perfectly realistic, they're 3d art

  • Take a look at the program because if you know the program you know you can morph them in any shape you like from thin til vet yeah you can even make a man out of vicky

  • try victoria morphs?

  • you are just one of those people who are too into what you belive in but you know what i dont give a rats ass too what you thing i bet your mother never hugged you!

    *goes too cool off*

  • Well, that was pathetic.

  • well i like skinny women there hot!

  • That has nothing to do with it. "YOU LIKE SEEING WOMEN WHO AREN'T ALWAYS PERFECT AND SO YOUR MOM OBVIOUSLY NEVER LOVED YOU!" Nice logic.

  • Calling them anorexic is inaccurate. Sure, they're thin, but nonetheless. I can see your point in desiring realism, but there' s no point in whining just because a company is being intelligent about the way they sell their product and marketing their thinner models.

  • David? Is he even still around? Why is it Only vicky, where is steph. And just when you buy it, 4.2 comes out... Argh!!!

  • wow actual natural looking female morphs good job.

  • those models are kinda thin

  • Yes, that's great but I bought V4.1 Pro Bundle for Poser & it still won't load everything because the installer program won't identify Poser Pro as a genuine Poser program...I emailed, & complained. No, response from Daz

  • actually just rename the PoserPro.exe to Poser.exe then install your v4.1 then rename it again to PoserPro.exe easy as that

  • Yes. Someone actually sent me a message instructing me to do exactly that, but thanks anyways.

  • Holy SHIT thats realistic

  • magnifique

  • Try getting anything like this elsewhere for the price they want....

  • to bad, daz is one big sale business for now!

there is nothing ART related anymore!

They better should teach people how to use there stuff! & not such poor tutorial section at their site

  • There is plenty ART-related in Daz Studio. As for how to use it, one learns that pretty quickly by oneself through trial and error.

  • Hey guys sorry to sound stupid what is Daz 3D is it liek secondlife where you could go into a world and use these skins as your avitar?

  • No, DAZStudio is a free 3D modelling and 3D animating software, and Daz 3D is the company which distributes it and sells models to be used in the software.

  • Its by no means a modeling program, carrara and Bryce maybe, but if it doesn't give any kind of vertex editing other than morphs its not modeling software; Completely restricts materials/texture control, has very basic animation tools, and the render engine isn't anything special either. Plus it will only import stuff daz sells. I bet they wont admit it but sex appeal... is probably their main source of income.

  • It is a modelling program - you can create and assemble primitives, and you can completely change and define bodies and faces, which is a form of modelling. The render engine is excellent, albeit a bit slow if rendering using the raytrace option. It allows to import images as background. Not having any other 3D program except for Bryce (which I acquired before Daz bought it), I don't know about importing objects and scenes.

  • Exactly ..Without a doubt , this is useless for prototyping , modeling , creating characters for games .etc It's a rather a porn-platform with a highlearning curve ( a toy for intelligent perverts ) .

I haven't tried it yet , but I believe you can make movies ( porn ) with it ... ;o)

  • you guessed right XD

  • Oh, c'monnnn!! I use these figures for my artwork all the time!! Of course, if you want to go to renderotica and get all of those pervy morphs, that's your business!! I need to draw my superheros!!

  • It's also good if you need reference when drawing or painting and you don't have a real model

  • daz 3d is a program to create your own 3d objets for multiple purposes

  • Wow....I will buy one of these right now!

  • she's not enough female

  • Hey, when digital barbie shows up in real life, lots of guys will be taking her over the arrogant, selfish, snotty shrews that populate the western world. Of course, the robot is probably a lousy cook and not too good in social settings. And it can't have kids, yet. Daz owns Bryce now, and it would be a great program if they would actually work on improving it and straightening out some of its bugs.

  • Forget the comments about soft toys, sex games etc, If they know DAZ they will know that it is capable of being used to make a serious animation film. Maybe they should look at the clothes section. I have already used it in a film using it on a blue screen to show a an actor (fully clothed) falling off a building. You can't spot the difference. DAZ do MEN as well. Keep it going your getting better all the time.

  • OMG !.. I´m falling in love on a computer model !!:...ouch !!

  • Awesome and she can't argue with you...

  • very nice. But when V4 smiles why the chin doesn't follow the movement?? I'd like to see a more realistic chin! (sorry for my english)

  • ok..?

  • no its a 3d software and they use victoria

  • A almost entirely useless application.

It is Toy-Soft mascurading as a "3D application"

It is entirely useless, other then to tinker with some pretty 3d Models.

If thats how you like to spend you time, well hey...... its your life.

i wouldn't waste more then 30 mins on this.

  • Hurray for the new digital barbie! Now she will look even better when going in close up.

She's improved so she can serve your (sexual) desires even better.

Com'on people get a life and get yourself a real wife :-)

  • Hmmm... looking good, but for almost 100$ the elite-bundle is IMHO a little bit too expensive. And it ssems only useful, if you render only in extreme close-ups.

Please offer the bundle more convenient for a limited time, like you do with the V4.2-bundle a few months ago (i bought it).

  • Well actualy, vids like this target non 3d'ers to a degree and if I were a non 3d'er I'd be thinking ..COOOLLLL. But when they see the comments and lack of text promotion, I'd be thinking eggheads because they're not going to understand a word you guys are talking about lol. I agree with almost everything you guys say but for a promo vid its not bad and considering they don't generally do this, the marketing team did a great job that will improve if they do it more often.

  • Tons of lipstick, eyeshadow, mascara, facepowder, hairspray, fake eyebrow. Admire but don't touch (my monthly salary couldn't afford..). If one likes kisses, better a "water and soap" girl : much sexy, fresh and cheap

  • I think I'm just going to scan myself in, for nothing. :nods:

  • I would like to see more demo videos, but honestly higher quality. Less bad disco music, more natural lighting and for a company whose revenue is at least a quarter selling clothing items, let's see them in action.

  • How about some talking animation. Or something more than voguing? I do think the new texture looks great!

  • I think it is easy to look good without showing any movement...no wait she blinked. Nice textures, but the lips look thin & it is obvious by the bend in the hand that V4 still is stiff and sort of lacking in fluidity. Is this a free upgrade? Cause I ain't spending no more on her. ;)

    Ariana

  • Nice. But i'm little tired from V4 only. Where are male characters?

  • This is NOTHING new.. Everything here is just new textures and morphs.. It is the SAME MODEL....I could have made this myself if I used human texture references and saved morphs...Put in some textures add a few morphs and give it a name... you must be joking!!!

  • Haven't we waited long enough for M4 and David??? OK vid, but tired of all-female world.

  • I agree! Where is M4 and David 4 ???? They are really missing out on a huge market!!

  • Yeah, I hope they're putting as much work into M4 as they are with V4.X(add whatever damn latest version is being sold today)and he'll be just as impressive. I kinda doubt it though, it'll probably be a reworked M3 with a little less plastic look.

According to the offical word, "he's now in beta". So that means by next May we might get a slight hint on a release date that doesn't have the word "soon" in it.

  • Is it me or do the just look like the same V4?

    Nice video though

  • very nice, but I already don't use that many of the body morphs and premade head morphs V4 has. I'd rather see the problems with her eyebrows fixed, maybe some morphs to make the V4 male look...Male... Or even the M4 that's been promised for ages?

  • Umm...it's V4. Sorry, but I don't see anything provocatively new or exciting. It's well done V4, but V4.

  • I don't know... It looks like just more Victoria 4...

It's time to move on and give us Michael 4.

  • Well how much is this POST work?!?, Livewire- :P

  • Very nice video, thanks for the preview.

  • Awesome! Daz does it again. Very good 3d celebrity package. Great video display. Next thing we need now is Higher polycount tolerance artificial intelligence in Daz studio, & were set. :)

  • @SuperCGpro

I know this post is old, but I just have to tell you... 3d celebrity had nothing to do with these new Elite textures. Yannek & Morris created them.

  • Nev mind.. i just noticed that 3d celeb made the video... my bad!
