doing shoulder exercises when on chess day is good and bad...good being the the latic acid will also be release to the shoulder area thus sharing a limiting it the chess area...lactic acid is what make you muscles sore...bad is because you do not want to over do and think its a shoulder day workout, so doing light reps and low sets is the best ways to concentrate on chess work out on a chess day

OMG this is what i did my sophomore year! My dad always told me about it... I started my sophomore year benching 170... I ended benching 255. This workout definitely works, but once you get used to it you're SCREWED... after all that i went on an 8 month plateau :/

@jcube34 it depends... How do you feel when you do the 165? I think i was doing 5 x 5 with 185 when i could max 205. So try with about 175 only if you can... if you can't don't worry about it. just go down by 5's til you get the 5, then you'll know where to start :)

for the past month ive been doing my chest on mondays using freeweights and finishing my routine on the bench. every friday i do chest again to see where i am at but go for my 3 rep max. I have been jumping 10lbs every week. il give your routine a shot and see what gains i can make this way. If i went from 170 to 220 in just over 1 month i can only imagine what gains il see. This could be because i have only been lifting for about 4 months and am getting beginner gains.

but if you go out and drink 12.. which most 20 year olds do.. then your drinking 1300 calories in one sitting.. plus eating snacks at the bar and then including all the other meals you eat threw the day by the time the days over youve eaten 4500 calories if not more.. full of sugar carbs and fat.. all of which any serious bodybuilder wouldnt want in his diet
