the new version is far better, find it on Ultimate Santana, came out last year. contains 4 new songs, Into The Night, with chad kroeger, This Boy's Fire, with jennifer lopez, this one, and Game Of Love, re recorded with Tina Turner.
Santana has been one of my favourites since 1968! and my favourite are the "mysticaly" themed albumsof early 1970's.I always liked the lyrics message ,tho taking most of them in stride, but the crap spewing in this song is so ambiguous and syrupy--no, like drinking coffee with 29 baggies of saccharine! Pleeeeze, this is painful.I can't help but wonder if at least 50% of the band are atheists which means they are playing either for the money or the joy of playing or both.Or lies don't matter.
Tony Lindsay has an awesome voice. He's singing live and the vocals are simply perfect!!!
I can't help feeling mad when they have such an amazing singer in the band and keep on using guests artists in their album. I know it's for promotion and selling purposes, but what the hell, what a waste of talent...
Such a great song, so well-written and composed, how can you say "it's painful"?
The lyrics are very good, there is nothing ambiguous or crappy in it and if you think it contains too much sugar for you, go listen to death metal...
By the way, they are real musicians, so they play because they love music. Of course they are earning money, what's better than earning money while doing what you love the most?
The very first LP album I ever bought was the first Santana LP in 1968. If I was asked my very, very favourite music ensamble,it would be Santana. But the earlier albums like "Caravanser","Welcome","Borboletta" are amazing, similar lyrics and soloists, but for 30 yearsto keep doing more of the same is stretching it.Though I repect your opinions!
Chester Thompson - Keyboards; Tony Lindsay - Vocals; Myron Dove - Bass; Raul Rekow - Congas & percussion; Billy Johnson - Drums; Karl Perazzo - Timbales, bongos, etc. and of course the man himself!
i like the song and the art work which includes the stage backdrop, and the bands colorful shirts, lets give a shout out to the artist a guy in the mission district in sf micheal rios peace everyone raidrlarry@aol
