Shea butter works well for acne scars too. African/Jamaican stores usually have it. try it.

I don't know why natural coconut oil isn't being talked about a lot in the scientific community, or suggested by dermatologists. I always had severe dandruff growing up but when mum introduced me to coconut hot oil treatment I was so happy because my condition was kept under control. I still use coconut oil for my scalp occasionally and I haven't had any scabs or flakes since! It works like crazy and I'm not sure why??

She is or was the head of the Dermatology department of the Makati Medical Center, a leading medical institution in the Philippines. She is a member of the American Dermatological Association (ADA). Her specialties include psoriasis, photodermatology (including skin cancer), photo-aging, pigmentations, contact dermatitis.

I usually think these vids are from crackpots, but honestly, coconut oil is pretty amazing. I use it on my skin, scalp and hair. It got rid of my (light) dandruff, it makes my hair smooth, and it has smoothed out the dry parts of my face. Multiple people have commented randomly on how nice my skin looks. Um, AWESOME! Try it. :)

i suffered with really bad acne you can not believe it has gone with coconut oil i use pure coconut oil where i live there are lots of coconut trees and coconut oil is common here i use it everyday PURE COCONUT OIL it can be homemade tooo this stuff is great

@Doodnauth100 I had really bad acne on my face and back a few years ago. Nothing worked on me except a detergent bar made from coconut. LOL. It cleared my face. And after that, whenever a pimple would appear I just put coconut oil and it's gone the next morning.

What if your alergic to coconut oil...? I am.. and I have eczema all over my gosh dang body and my doctor wont let me try anything new cause everything else has failed, but for some of you I used stuff called "Bag Balm" It works it cuts it back a lot and i mean A LOT but it doesn't not go away..

Coconut oil does everything! It's like a miracle that doesn't cost hardly anything to use! I love using it as a moisturizer and a deep conditioning treatment for my hair mmmmm
