  • Sounds like professor Frink from the Simpson! What I wouldnt give to hear him say "Hmmm Glaven"

  • You're Comparing medium Format to 35mm Sensors <.<

  • also matt i think you mean SDHC or SDXC , there is no such thing SDHD memory cards hehe

  • D800 just made this camera go to the scrap yard.

  • @Tehn00bifierer d800 is 17.5 mp and this is 40mp and the nikon uses 35mm sensor this one does not this one uses medium format sensor so your not correct.

  • I am no Pro but my understanding was that the 40mp was spread across three (03) stacked sensor namely Red, Green and Blue. Effectively each sensor would have (40/3) 13.333mp. Since the sensor is MF then it would have a lower px density than even a DX camera. My understanding also is that, with processor aside, higher px density tantamounts to greater detail (more noise @ high ISO as well). I may be wrong though...

  • @guspo1 yep, one huge, massively detailed and precise, frame per second.

  • @guspo1 to be honest i dont think people bought this for X frame per second, it wasnt design to shoot this way. Yet the market is very specific to people who wants bigger frame than a FFrame DLSR yet larger Mpixel, i dont think you get this point.

  • @guspo1 Medium format people always work on a tripod or in a studio with number of lighting system. Pentax 645 is not a typical medium format, most of the Hasselblad can't do continues shooting, but think about other side, freaking fast flash sync, as I known up to 1/800, and the fastest continues shooting guy currently, in DSLR range, 1DX 11fps, only goes to 1/125(or 1/1xx). This is where you spend your 10k on, Pros knew it.

  • @guspo1 You must be retarded, bro, medium format cameras are completely different kind of thing. There is no need for them to have high burst rates, they are used to make top quality images, none of the full frame DSLR's can't compare to medium format. It's for professional, very precise work, for those, who know what they exactly want. Your nikon d3s or other FF is crap compared to medium format.

  • @guspo1 its medium format camera. used mainly for studio work. They dont need massive 12 FPS in there

  • In 10 years this will be in my phone.

  • @idkagoodusernameyet haha, maybe! I've seen 16 mp already, bit mostly all are rubbish quality

  • @idkagoodusernameyet Whats you're point?

  • @idkagoodusernameyet Sorry very very wrong. Your comment is based on the more more more consumer demand. Medium format cameras are the total opposite. They are unwielding rough single use packages. But they are just soo damn good at what they do. The package size is what makes them soo good. Even if you made them 5MP i want it the very fact physicaly it uses soo much light kills the possiblility of a phone camer being that good.

  • If I ever win a massive amount of money

  • love to own one!

  • @ptavera me too!

  • @TheAngryMo Yes, I am getting one this month to test.

  • If the cable can reach, put the lav mic cable under your shirt instead of letting hit hang out. It's distracting seeing it swing back and fourth.

  • @alexpirpiris haha, you got ADD?

  • @thatnikonguy Maybe :P

  • i would like to see some seascapes/landscapes taking on the badboy cant wait for the hasselblad review

  • @bwinn10 will TRY to get out tmrw for sunrise, I only have a few days. The blad may not be here for a week.

  • Wow it looks nice. I hope 5-7 years from now, I can pick up a clean conditioned used one for modest price :).

  • How big is a Raw file with this? lol

  • @xxAO2012xx 65874567354274535785867558764865376543657476546mb

  • @xxAO2012xx I'll let you know after shooting - I guess around 90mb

  • This is a mean looking piece of engineering. But for 10 big ones I'd rather buy D3X...

  • @Opatije i rather pick up the canon 400mm 2.8 is usm 2 lol

  • @bwinn10 really? What do you shoot that would require that specialist lens?

  • @thatnikonguy sports and wildlife i want to book a trip to alaska next year and this would be one amazing lens to have on top of my 70-200 ive seen some pics already and its unreal. they also included a new IS mode that activates stabilization only during exposure and another mode called power focus for video shooting

  • Great vid. Love to get a medium format camera could you do a vid taking some shot's with the Pentax. How good are the images? great job.

  • @uplift20 sure will :)

  • Don't you ever rest?! haha Thanks again, Matt. Excellent video.

  • @KingFilio thanks mate - I like to get a lot done. Will film 5 videos between shoots this weekend :)

  • very awesome Matt, please send it over to the state so I can do Fall color test after you're done. I will cover for shipping :)

  • @schumionbike generous offer - you may have more luck to contact Pentax in the USA direct :)

  • Thanks!

  • Since Photokina 2010, when i looked through the finder of this camera, i dreamed of it every day. So please give us a big review about the usability und image-quality of the Pentax 645D.

I also tested the Leica S2 on Photokina, but i liked the 645D much more.

PS: Your videos are very interesting and helpfully. Great job!

  • @caspaMFT Thanks for the comment. I will do a video on it for sure - the S2 one day too.

  • That shuttersound is nothing but audioporn.

  • would you rather spend $10000 on this or the M9?

  • @NDSCollector tough one....if rich and for fun, M9. TO use in my work, this.

  • @NDSCollector
