I believe the clock experiment is scientific proof that mass and inertia are not just mathematically interchangeable but are in fact the same thing.
When you change the speed of an object you change its' mass. When a clock measures oscillations of mass in a finite geometry and that mass changes because you moved the device through space...either the geometry, or the oscillations will of course change due to conservation of energy.

@lostbuffalo Dont answer because the Hafele and Keating Experiment already did.. they flew two jet around the world each with an atomic clock on board. One flew counter clock wise and one flew clock wise compared to the earth rotation... they then compared the clocks against those of the United States Naval Observatory. The one that flew against the earths rotation was 2 minutes slower then the clock at the Naval Observatory, the one that flew with the earth rotation was 2 minutes faster..

The vibrations in the clocks speed up and slow down but the clocks don't go anywhere in time. they all experience the present moment concurrently. There is no escaping the moment. even if you speed up and slow down your still in the same now as everyone else.

Year=1 trip around the sun, Hour= 1/12 of a day, Minute=1/60th of an hour and second 1/60th of a minute. what is this measuring? how far something goes around something else in a circle. did you know minutes and seconds are geometric measurements of a circle? That period and moment are measurements of how many and where? a clock measures geometry.

I believe the clock experiment is scientific proof that mass and inertia are not just mathematically interchangeable but are in fact the same thing.
When you change the speed of an object you change its' mass. When a clock measures oscillations of mass in a finite geometry and that mass changes because you moved the device through space...either the geometry, or the oscillations will of course change due to conservation of energy.

I do not have to come up with proof to dispute an unproven assumption. I will however in the future be able to prove time does not exist beyond the present instead of just being able to deduce it logically when the math is finished

I'm not debating the accuracy of the concept of time, as a concept...as a measurement.
I gotta say "Time" isn't any more real than numbers are real.
But religion says God exists in the past present and in the future. The religious say your decisions are already decided, the past was laid out just as certain as the future.
But who am I to argue with religion and demand proof?
Time travel? nope, not possible

@thatgo916 I'm not saying time isn't a useful and accurate tool. it is... very accurate and very useful. it's a mental tool you use to compare what was with what is and calculate what might be. that's all it is and that's all it has ever been.

@thatgo916 I'm not concrete in my thinking...I'm concrete in my skepticism. I'm tearing down assumptions and what is left after the unproven assumptions have been shattered are still the unanswered questions. but you can build knowledge and discover truth upon unanswered questions. You cannot discover truth upon a foundation of fantasy and superstition. Time travel and the assumption of Time being a reality is the new flat earth.
