if lava turns off going down a 1 square hole and you pour water down the same hole as the lava is dissipating the water will wait on top of the lava

Tyken, lots of new changes to water and lava physics in the 1.9 prerelease! You should try to mess around with the new stuff in there, but note that there are a few bugs in it. Good luck!

1.9 Pre-released -- Lilipad's, Nether brick's, Nether fences, Fire slimes, Blaze rod, Netherwart (nether plant no water - just soulsand), nether brick stairs, mossy grass, Ghast tear, unnamed yellow object, Nether Castle, Village Npc's Testificate, unnamed mob[Person in hurricane with flying goldbars around him that shoot fireball's], Snow Golem's (2 snow block + 1 pumkin for head) they are friendly and they shoot snowball's at mob's, plus mushroom cow's. i had a idea on where pistons puch you in a wall of lava.You may think your gonna die from the lava but behind it is a water wall.Its not a big idea neither a simple one but it does get the job done(and by the job i mean trickin people into thinkin their are gonna die)
