This doesn't really relate to this girl - but, ABC had another program about Nicolette Taylor, a 13 year old girl who got rhinoplasty after her nose having gotten broken twice! In that particular case, I would even defend that it was "reconstructive surgery" - her new nose looked very, very natural, and it even looked more like the noses that her other family members had... almost like the nose that she was always meant to have, before it had gotten broken. Twice.
I don't have a problem with my nose, eyes, ears, or anything like that. I have no idea what that feels like. The one thing that really bothered me is the "minor imperfects" part. So beauty=small nose, small ears, big lips and big eyes? Always? That's crap. Who decided this anyway?
But hey, here's a novel idea: teach your damn brats some manners so they won't bully other children in the first place! If you can't find the time to teach your child basic stuff, like kindness, DON'T HAVE ONE!
I don't think this is that bad at all. Its her face, and she wanted something a tad different. It made her happier. If you could change something that plagued you so easily, you would do it, don't kid yourself. You'd make fun of her for her nose, you make fun of her for changing it. Is there any winning with you damn youtubers?
Okay it's probably less that people like her for her new nose and more that she feels better about herself and how she looks so she feels able to make new friends. If it was a well thought out decision and in the end it made her happy then I really see nothing wrong with it.
@maddiearyanna Hmmm, it might be because she has more confidence now. Sometimes I feel like the reason i don't have many friends is because I am so self- conscious about my nose that I shy away from social situations. That's why when people ask me if I'm gettin a nose job for others I tell them that it's not an investment in my appearance (that would be for others), it's an investment in my self confidence (and that's purely my own).
@Jacoby515 you don't get that there might even be other people with different lifes/faces/problems than you. You see the girl with her big nose and can't imagine she's may have been bullied for it? you must have been underexposed to all things discussed in the video and can't even wrap your head around with imagination? You're ignorant because you know nothing about the subject of the video / feelings of bully victims, but still share your lifeskills101 rubbish that only apply to yourself.
@observationhole I been bullied to for being the weak little skinny kid and i been around 5 feet tall up until being a freshman in high school. Everybody has those weaknesses and that's cool if she got a plastic surgery but the way she puts it is that she did it for the bullies more than doing it for herself which is wrong. You were underexposed to using logic after reading my original comment.
@SingleVirginForever Did I say I hate them? No I didn't, so stop creating baseless facts in order for you to hold a debate. I'm guessing you like it when people are forced into something because they want to please other people.
@Jacoby515 I agree with you there and if that is the case, what a damn coincidence for it to happen after she is bullied. Also if it were true, being bullied should be at the back of her head when talking about this subject.

You shouldn't have to change yourself so others will stop bullying you, the bullies are the ones that need to change.

If it made her more confident then good for her!

If a new nose gave you confidence then you are only fooling yourself, your nose is still big.

It's not like she only did it for other people. If it gave her confidence, then that's good enough.
