Horned Squig : Increase 10% shooting distance.

Gas Squig : Increase 100% armor.

Spiked Squig : Increase 5% critical damage.

Normal Squig : (no buffs for the SH himself)

You'd be wrong there...the squig herder makes an awesome 1v1 class thanks to the utility and armour debuff - Bright Wizards drop like flies

As of current, every class can hold its own in 1v1, it's the player skill that often determines the outcome, not the class.

There's several abilities which let the Squig Herder run away - one of which is called RUN AWAY!! =P - to avoid having to get into close combat =D

Well, in a lot of ways there's kind of a rock, paper, scissors set up. Certain classes do better against certain other classes. As a Squig Herder my favorite targets are casters and melee DPS, (so long as there was some distance between us) but tanks are nearly impossible to take down one on one. Some healers can be difficult too, like the Warrior Priest.

I always have myself a chuckle when I get to fight Shadow Warriors. Silly elves. Vastly inferior archers.

Yes you can, you get the ability around level ten, and it increases your melee capabilities somewhat. It becomes completely viable and dangerous later in the game due to some awesome abilities, but early on it is fun and gimmicky.

Just one out at a time, but when one dies you have like a 30sec recast time for that particular one, so if your spiked dies you can summon a horned right away but not another spiked

use wardb because the gas squig gaves you 100% armor, the horned squig gaves you 5% crit chance and the spiked squig gaves you more range\

Well if you stay away from your opponents, then you can be fearsome as a Squig Herder. However to balance it, it isn't the best class in melee.

You got a couple of things wrong:

*The gas squig gives a 10% max range buff (not damage)

*You do not get the "lots of shooting" ability by spending 15 points in the big shooting mastery. After spending 15 points this ability becomes available to pick up, which cost an additional one point (goes for all abilities & tactics from your mastery)

*Looking at playstyle, abilities and mastery paths, the squig herder almost exactly mirrors the shadow warrior, not the white lion.

I've addressed issue one with an annotation, so check that out =D, number two was only to suggest that's the rank 15 rank 4 moral ability, and the last one it's a pet class and mythic themselves have paired the squig herder up with the white lion for the reason. I know the ranged potential is similar to a shadow warrior, but the squig herder is a pet class nonetheless.

About the "3rd point": While its both a pet class, and even though Mythic stated the WL and SH were mirrors... the squig herder mirrors the shadow warrior in every way. They get pretty much the same abilities, the same mastery paths, and the squigs give the same buffs as the shadow warrior's stances.

Yes I noticed that, but I feel the unique aspect of having a pet to control is more important than abilities etc, however this is my opinion, and yours may be different.

Also, I think you forgot to mention that the gas squig is AoE ranged damage.
