  • this is a great edit. where does the black and white film footage and the old drawn animation come from?

  • 1:40-1:42 What?

  • Baron Manfred von Richthofen was to the German people in World War I what General Erwin Rommel would be to the German people in World War II.

  • I'll bet they had a lot of fun making this! There's a company in San Diego that lets you dogfight either with a friend or with an instructor. If you are a certified pilot you can fly it yourself. If not, an instructor flies the plane and you concentrate on shooting the lasers. If you hit the enemy plane a colored smoke bomb goes off!

  • @admiral009 the red baron used four different planes

  • didnt the red baron have a triple winged plane

  • @admiral009 Yes, Manfred von Richtofen had a Fokker Dr. 1 however, the aircraft shown here are simply tiger moths painted in the appropriate colors.

  • @trollolololololo and it was a triplane

  • @roadwolf2 Fokker Dr.1; Dr. short for "Dreidecker", or "three winger", so yeah...

  • @admiral009 If you want to be historically accurate, there are no recorded instances of Red Baron actually fighting beagle pilots, either.

  • Genial gemacht . Ich wünschte es gebe Anderstrum genauso viel Humor , wenn das Video aus deutscher Sicht erschaffen worden wäre

  • when was this video made?

  • @turbovoice 1966.

  • which airplanes are those?

  • @OrCkHaNtheGrEaT Those appear to be Tiger Moths

  • Great Job I can't get over it

  • Pretty cool

  • Linus and Lucy act like McCain and Palin in this.

  • Snoopy looks like Gromit flying that plane!

  • Awesome song & good reactment using Tiger Moth Trainers/Crop Dusters (I believe). Always liked that song but................Wasn't the Red Baron supposed to be flying a Fokker Dr ! Triplane & Snoopy a Sopwith Camel (I know being nit picky here). Still great job on the vid!

  • Actually according to the military channel show on the First World War, apparently he used a biplane for most of the war, he got the triplane in the end but it was supposedly very complex and had all sorts of accidents, which may have contributed to his being shot down, sorry for sounding like a nerd with that.

  • Cool!!!!

    60s memories!

  • The Red Barron has some dern good pizza.

  • It's from the PS2 video game, Snoopy Vs. The Red Baron; a very good, and hilarious air fighting game.

  • Double thumbs up.

My brothers did a backyard stage version of this story and the Return of the Red Baron 40 years ago. Brings back good memories.

This revised edition is very entertaining.

    Thanks.

  • my freind likes the the red baron

  • Where did that great Linus/Lucy introduction come from?

  • well it is not Brown for sure it may have been a machine gunner or an infantry man on the ground. but it was most likely that brown shot him although the path of the bullet meant that if brown did fire the fatal shot he could only do it a mile and a half from where the baron landed and that is a long way to fly when you have a bullet that went through your back on the left and did not leave your right breast pocket

  • lmao They both are flying tigermoths

  • crommdragon

you may or may not be correct about this.

lookign closley at both planes, it seens as though the red barons rudder is more angular than snoopys. snoopys seems rounder.

it may be an illusion due to grainy film or they may be different planes.

but if you dont know, the plane the red baron is supposed to be flying is an albatross D-III

a bi-plane, not a tri-plane. and snoopy is flying the neuiport-17 wich is also a bi plane.

  • rudders are easy to change o btw I own a tigher moth and the are moths

  • isn't snoopy supposed to be flying a Sopwith Camel?

  • Do you know who actually shot down the Red Baron? Royal Canadian Air Force pilot Roy Brown. It is unknown how he is related to Charlie.

  • Very cool... nicely done. The real Snoopy in the actual battle flew a Sopwith Camel to down the Baron in a Fokker DR1 Triplane... everybody knows that... but the Tiger Moth will do for this remake. (LOL) Went to an airshow today that started with this song blasting over the loud speakers... it was GREAT!

  • That's better - now the sound is fixed
