Relationships are tricky. sometimes a clean break works if nothing else works. Or a time out to re assess. Commitment is a 2 way streak if one person has lost interest then you could argue why should the other stick around and just get upset.
But then again sometimes a time out also helps mend rifts and if there is even a small spark left then this will show more when you are apart.
i had this huge crush on this one woman but she was married and there wasnt anything i could do about it and now im kinda in the sma eboat atm because i have this crush on this other woman but she is seeing someone at the moment and it's like noooooooo :( so i feel like im in the same boat ya know? i say dont give up something good always seems to come out at the end of the tunnel ya know? :D
