How do you shift faster? 2-3 3-4 4-5 5-6? I have a hard time accelerating fast. I always release the gas, clutch, shift, ease up on the clutch to engagement, and THEN I put gas. It's smooth but it's slow. Tips?

I have a state ID, but in many cases, they employer would still prefer the blasted drivers' license. In my state, though, once you're 18, you already qualify as a 16 or 17 year old with a permit.

@zzzZHeartZzzz You should be letting off the gas to downshift so you can match the RPMs because you're moving to a lower gear. The car should lurch back a bit because the lower gear will cause the car to slow down on it's own. Try dropping off the gas more when downshifting.

Oops, at first, you forgot to add "...too fast" with "when I let out the clutch" (without giving any fuel). If you had let it out slowly, then you're still letting it out, but then it wouldn't jerk and stall--which of course you get to later, but you just weren't clear in the beginning. Reshoot that part.

to downshift for more power, do the same procedure, but give it some gas while rolling off the clutch.
