  • FUCKING EXCELLENT

  • two words for such mechanical beauty H-O-L-Y S-H-I-T i think we found why zombies dont come out

  • Awesome!

  • Preparing defenses for the zombie apocalypse, I see

  • nice cannon!

  • Awsome, best machined gun I have seen so far!

  • one word ""awesome""

  • what are u shooting old cauking tubes?

  • Yes. Tubes that contained polyurethane for windshield installation are made of aluminum. Add about 1.5" of concrete for ballast.

  • Nice synchronization with the music

  • so far this is the best pneumatic cannon ive seen. Beautiful work !!!

  • I think it is using about 90 - 120 psi becasue the chamber is so big and the gun is relatively weak eventhough the barrel has large diam

I hope he would up the pressure

  • Relatively weak? Hee hee........

Yes, 120psi, it's all I can easily come up with. The pilot is only rated up to 120, so I'd have to brew something to go higher.

One thing to keep in mind, air has mass and drag. So, after a certain point, you can't increase velocity without going to a lighter gas, such as helium or hydrogen. But then, the fun isn't free any more! I also have NO idea what the chamber and tanks are rated for. They are made from electrical conduit.

  • ofcourse can't increase velocity above certain point but judging from the vid you haven't reached that point yet... it seems that your gun can handle 200 psi and possibly more.. if you want to replace the pilot valve there are several possiblilities for example: a piston valve for piloting the main valve or a 1" QEV (they are usualy rated to 150 psi but they can take more) . ohh BTW I didn't mean that it's weak I meant that it would rock if you up the pressure a little ;-)

  • This one is way better than your other spud gun. Nice valve

  • This one is way better than your other spud gun. Nice valve

  • alright i fired a dead mouse outa my Cannon once WAS funny as hell when it hit the wall and turned itself into instant Render

  • that is a chamber sealer huh?

  • what pressure do you take it to.

  • holy shit man...make me one..

  • I'm speechless.

    Respect.

  • how much pressure got it when you shoot it?

  • THAT THING IS ANTI TANK

  • lol thats anti bloody anything

  • that's not a gun, it's a howitzer! never fit that thing in a sub-compact, LOL. much less a compressor to feed it.

  • Ok, heres the real test, take that big metal cylinder give it a tiny tip, noting special. And shoot a propane tank that u have turned on,and LIT. You must be 150 yards and under cover to do it. MAKE SHURE U VIDEO IT WITH CHEAP CAMERA lol

  • damn where do u live man xD

  • Hmm do you go hunting for deer w/ that thing too? :D

  • holy shit, how many psi were you using

  • that thing is to drool over. nothing ive ever made even comes close.

  • whats that song called??

  • stick a muzzle break on there should reduce the recoil a little bit. and thats not a gun, thats a freaking piece of artillery

  • sweet breech loading system

  • that is no pneumatic cannon that thing is a howitzer!!!

  • But very, very nice cannon there bud! Kudos!

  • 5 Star!

Great cannon, and presentation. Shot I like most isn't destructive, quite odd for this gun. Its when you shoot, and hit a couple feet in front of the door. The spray of snow looks awesome. Hopefully one of these days I will get around to making a metal cannon.

  • Crap, guess I should check the comments more often! The snow shots were fun to make, I too like the effect. That protion of the video was slowed 50%, just for reference. It's 900' to the door and takes an average of 1.2 sec to cross the gap. The projectile was a caulking tube with 1.5" of concrete for ballast.

  • what were you shooting i just made my first cannon :D

  • Either metal caulking tubes ballasted with concrete, 2" trailer balls, or a 5" long chunk of 2" steel round stock.

  • That thing is freekin huge! What's the range [in meters]?

  • In meters? No idea! I'm a yank. :-) Footage wise, I know it is over 1580 feet. Land ends there and it's water for another 1500 feet.

  • I'm a Yank too :)- I use the metric system for calculations, as it's much easier and quite faster.

  • 1581 feet = 482 meters

  • woah! holy shit

  • nice song killer artist look up superstar but anyway FUCK! nice gun how long did it take to make? that is some dedicated shit for you to make this. very nice idea for loading 5* message me :)

  • It took a couple months of weekends messing around. There were no pans involved at the start. It was an idea and got bigger from there! It was a great way to stave of cabin fever and improve my welding skills.

  • 0__0 whoa lethal weapon!

  • i'm slaphappy!

  • put the whole can of hairspray in+BOOM haha yeah boom-boom haha lol yeah!!

  • Thats awesome, should post it on spudfiles so we can hear a bit more about it :P Thats awesome, good work.

  • Hiii its the best gun ive ever seen^^

but, whats the name of the song?

  • Saliva "Ladies and Gentlemen". Great song, awesome for a cannon video, but what a nightmare of editing!

  • will u giv me some simple spud gun instructions

  • D A M N !!!!!!!!!!!

  • Awesome piston valve!

You should post it at spudfiles. com, it's full of spud gun hobbeists like you. I'm Flying Salt on the forums there.

  • Awsome!!! What more can I say...

  • Way Super Cool. Good job! Keep up your imagination and engineering. You will be famous some day.

  • that has to be the best pneumatic ive seen

  • Thanks guys! Lets just say winters are long and boring up here! ;-)

  • Holy freakin crap!!

    Sick cannon!!

    Love the break load design!!
