Love matthews style of drumming. Once he nails a pattern, he drums it like a fuckin robot, his movements are so swift and kind of tense in a way. But thats what makes it cool

I know it's live, I didn't say it wasn't. I said it's 'not really live' in as much as what they are singing into the mics is being produced on a computer before it hits the sound system. And I've been called a prick by someone named ismokeznojokes. How ironic.

Yeah i have to agree... he has a great voice no doubt it and a big fan of the band...but there are heavy effects on vocals... though not as evident in this song as others... and hey thats their choice and their sound... love the drumming ofcourse

Totally agree. I went to see them and it was a stomping gig, I was just dissapointed that there was so much on stage production going on. I understand why they do it for records, and radio play etc (compress it so the whole spectrum is loud, although to be fair, the radio stations do a lot of that themselves. Tune to radio 4, then to radio 1, and see the volume difference between the two. That's cos R1 is waaaay compressed.) But... it spoiled it live. I would have loved to have heard it without

yeah they dont use any audio enhancers or auto tune while recording. so what u hear on album is what you get live. thats why they are awesome

Well, they are awsome live, but they are different in the Cd's i can hear a lot of differences but, in my opinion, i prefer when they play live.

Check the music Milk for example. live and in cd.

I will say this as I have said about quite a few bands [Namely RHCP]

I've followed kings ever since they first started.

And I love each of their albums because as they grew up, I did too.

So when they were writing songs like Trani while living quite a debauched lifestyle, especially Nathan I liked them coz they appealed to the childish side of me. They're new more "adult stuff" appeals to the grown up side of me.

Shame as soon as a band grows up half they're fans dont follow suit.

Trust me, Fundies are people too...with the same lusts and passions...thus the pent up frustration of "Sex on Fire".

I'm pretty sure the pendulum of experimentation has swung rather far to the left for Kings of Leon...but I don't think a band has to trash themselves with alcohol, drugs and sex to prove anything to anyone.

Excess has been the death of so many bands and great musicians. I am not sure why we still glorify it in the face of glaring deadly reality.
