Your shrimp is pretty badass. I love my ghost shrimp to death and keep them as pets rather than food, but Vladimira's hunting skills are rather impressive.

You're supposed to place an acrylic sheet on the bottom so that doesnt happen. Sorry about your tank though!

The guy in the shop that i purchased it from "assured" me it wouldnt break the glass (got a nono-cube) They have a 7" Scyllarus in the shop which hasnt caused them any problems. I think mines a bit of a nut case though, its got a real bad attitude!

if you don't add any more rock a deeper substrate would benefit him. they're fun to watch when they bury themselves and/or create tunnels.

You cant really tell from the video, but he has a 5in sandbed. He really doesnt dig at all except for right before molt. Then he starts digging holes everywhere.

yeah, when i had mine i had the tank constantly stocked with hermit crabs and emerald crabs. so whenever she got hungry she'd have something to eat. and about once a week i would go to safeway and buy whole uncooked prawns and hand feed her those.

Nah i give him all different kinds of food because ghost shrimp arent exactly healthiest food source. I give him snails, hermit crabs, crabs, clams, ghost shrimp, crayfish, and lobster. I usually feed him cheaper food but every now and then i treat myself to an epic sea battle and give him a lobster or something ^_^
