  • good shooting dude. love the lcr also.

  • Holy shit that head grouping was awesome.

  • 3 misses I think? Nice

  • guy can shoot

  • Awsome job with a "snubby".

  • It's just a matter of time until there is a Mumbai styled inciddent in the US. Be ready.

  • hi i was just wondering what holster you are using on your load out? and where i might be able to pick one up

  • Nutnfancy, that was a FANTASTIC run. Really, that was the most impressed I've ever been in your skill as a shooter.

  • Great run with a wheel gun!

  • Looked like you where shooting left eye right hand?

You looked comfortable shooting left handed on the one target.

I just bought an LCR and am carring left handed as I am left eye dominant.

  • So you do not get any traffic on the roads that you are shooting on, along and across?

  • Nice video. Great course and shooting.

    Thank you.

  • I was seriously impressed. I will look for your table top review.

  • Great vid. Great shootin. That was a long sequence of targets.

  • What Molle attachment does he have to mount the speed loaders on his plate carrier? I need a few after watching this...

  • @batmanjd5 Those are Safariland CD-2 speedloader holders that I got from Brownells. They rock. Very high speed and they held the loaders securely. They are affordable too.

  • @LakeTahoeHunting yessir, .38 special +P rated.

  • Anybody found a really great pocket holster for one of these? Just got mine today. Fits the cheapo holster I have now but not perfect. S&W J fits perfect but this gun is taller or something. Got me on the hunt for a better setup to pocket carry. Any ideas?

  • What dump pouch is that? Thanks,

    ~Northwoods

  • @thenorthwoodsFH 5.11 dump pouch and I've been running it for two years. Love it.

  • One of my favorite episodes.

  • @sgtrapcat Thank you...real fun for me too!

  • nutnfancy needs a future weapons style tv show, except doing reviews on all sorts of guns and gear, and no rasping like Mac. Mac still rocks though

  • @maxrocks19 100% agree! No need to change the title of the show either.

    The Nutnfancy Project nuff said

  • @dabears1132 i'm sure someone like discovery or national geographic would pick it up, actually their should a new discovery channel, Discovery Outdoors

  • @maxrocks19 Thanks for the thoughts. I do address some of this in my recent video "Questions to Nutnfancy Pt1 Mar 2011."

  • @nutnfancy do they do a single action?

  • @insertnamehere2210 No, it's a DAO gun.

  • @JLindenwood alright sweet dont know much bout guns but enough so i dont look like a lemon when having to actually use one thanks for the info!

  • Got my LCR Model 5401 back from Ruger after it died on the range. They replaced the cylinder, ejector, transfer bar, trigger, cylinder latch, and fire control housing free of charge. For specific reasons, this was the gun I carried concealed daily and I was pretty shocked and worried when it failed since I take very good care of my guns.

  • Tried out my new LCR today. Good gun. Stout recoil with 125gr LRN. Not bad with 148gr bullets. I only shot 100 rnds through it today but it seemed accurate enough (7-15yd shooting today) and reliable. Hopefully I can put another 100 rnds through it later this week.

I will say that the 5star speedloaders work better with this gun than the HKS. I'm a fan of the HKS speedloaders and own several for different revolvers but the 36A works only so so in the LCR.

  • I've got several of the HKS 36A speedloaders for a J frame. These are the speedloaders that are supposed to fit the LCR but they don't work as well with the Ruger as they do with most of the J frames.

They seem to work but not work well.

I've got a speedloader on order from 5star that is supposed to work better with the LCR. We'll see next week how well it performs.

  • Nutn, you should try out Safariland's speedloaders. Unlike the HKS, you don't have to twist, all you do is push down on the edge of the loader (where you're already gripping it) and it releases the rounds. The center star that holds the rounds in place acts as the release when it comes into contact with the star in the cylinder.

I've never had a problem with them accidentally releasing, 100% reliable, and easier/quicker to manipulate under stress.

  • I must say, this is very impressive. I struggle to shoot my LCR .38 accurately. You have shown me that it can be done. As always, great video.

  • @czglrembenrug Thank you. It is all the fundamentals: concentrating on maintaining sight picture while consistently pressing the trigger. Much easier said than done, especially under stress. But the gun is capable if you are!

  • Good shit man

  • We got that one, it's a beast for a Lil gun

  • Just picked up the LCR .357. Love it so far. Very impressed with the smooth trigger pull and was pleasantly surprised how accurate I was with it.

    Nice shooting.

  • When do you expect the review to out?

    Keep up the Great videos

  • @ridenhour1 Very soon my friend. That's why I'm in the comments tonight: to see if TNPrs have particular questions or data points I want to include. Thanks.

  • If Nutnfancy really wants to review law enforcement and combat handguns he should spend time with the hk p30 ( 9 or 40) and the hk45. Far superior than anything he's bringing to the table. I know there were things he didn't like about the USP compact, but ... problem solved. Get with it.

  • @dparin I do not believe HK is as good as some people think it is. They're overpriced for what you're getting, and they have too much unnecessarily proprietary attachments. I'm not a huge fan of Glock, but I have to recognize that they make at least same-quality guns for substantially less. And not to mention HK cares exactly none about the civilian market. I love the USP... a lot actually, but I would never buy one.

  • @RevolverPhantom HKs are expensive but you do get what you pay for. There is also a reason that our boarder patrol carries the hk p2000, our navy caries the new HK45c, and many other areas of our military cary HK45 and USPs. Not to mention the mark 23. I like these reviews I just think if your known for doing combat firearms reviews you should at least take the time to look at the modern Hks. I like glocks as well but anyone that thinks they are manufactured better or more accurate is crazy.

  • Are you wearing a Camelbak? I can't tell :P

  • revolvers suck!!

  • @ridah925 ...troll

  • @ridah925 That is a very...lets go with inaccurate...statement.

  • What kind of gloves are you wearing?

  • @TheOriginalEmberwave Mechanix gloves.

  • so what state is this fimed in? looks like where I'm from in Montana

  • hey nutn!! i just noticed your excellent trigger squeeze watching the cylinder slowly rotate! niceeeeeeee

  • How about some plain clothes drills since this is a concealed carry gun and not a Service pistol.

  • @talisman9000 it would be kinda retarded to take off all the tactical nylon, all the camo, put on civillian clothes just to run one gun.

  • @Kylef7735 Well thats why you do a video with a host of sub compacts and/or CCW pistols.

  • Will he do a table top review of this soon because I can't find it if he has done one.

  • @34601k Nutn hasnt done a TT vid on it yet mate, u can bet that its in the works and be out soon.

  • ehhh i'm dumping my lcr, its awesome for carry but i can't shoot it for SH!T...lookin g26 or p2000sk

  • Excellent shooting, Nutn! Very nice.

  • whoa whoa whoa, you gotta dump pouch for a reason. start practicing throwing those speed loaders in your pouch. you never know when you'll need them again

  • @SKYfox911 When is he going to be using an LCR with a dump pouch? With a full-sized revolver, sure, but with an ROL carry gun?

  • @mysss29 The whole point behind a dump pouch is to keep spent magazines and/or, in this case, speed reloaders. So when would he use a dump pouch? When he uses speed reloaders.

  • @mysss29 plus Nutn would have been shooting at types of long irons and sidearms that day, i dont think he is going to take the pouch off and on for each rig used.

  • Only 5 minutes? I feel 25 minutes shorted :)

  • Excellent., your reloads are faster than the last time I watched you run a revolver.Looks like you have a good follow through, no flinching when you rotated onto a fired cylinder. impressive. Well done.

  • beats my chief's special all to hell. try shooting while running away from the targets sometime. good job dude!

  • Some of the best shooting i've ever scene. Nutnfancy+Topshot= Bad Ass

  • I think it would be cool to see nutn run something really stupid, as a challege. Dont you think?

  • You are getting much better with your shooting GREAT JOB !!!

  • Wait...he's NOT throwing his speed loaders into that dump pouch?

  • Way to go Nutun! Very nice shooting on your run and gun. Also, great job on the reloads. Hope to see a few more vids on the Ruger LCR. Very well done!

  • What speed loaders do you use for that gun?

  • that was an awesome vid. It got my heart pumpin.

    Great shooting.

  • I own 1 and love it ! its my" spare tire," good shooting

  • Cool new video Nutn. Thanks for all that you do. The LCR is a very nice shooter that doesn't seem to be plagued with the nearly inevitable mediocre/bad stock trigger Ruger has had in the past. i.e. first run SR9, & nearly all Semi's from the 90's. Ruger does revolvers very well and I put them in a class just below S&W.

    Peace Love and Firepower.

  • Wow!!! Simply incredible! Well done nuntnfancy

  • Jesus. You would have to be one tough dude to reload a revolver like that in a fight.

  • nice airsoft gun lol

  • Just amazing! PFM (Pure Frigging Magic) lol :)

  • Excellent run, Nutnfancy!

  • TNP in HD baby! Fancy you guys keep on rocking! Thanks again for the great video.

  • very impressive, and with gloves on and in the wind! With the frying pan segment at 0:45 you can see how the velocity of the .38 out of the J-frame isnt enough to knock the pan all the way around. What are your comments on that, nutnfancy?

  • @Defender78 May also be because the target is leaning to the right. But I agree, it probably is the round lacking punch too.

  • @Defender78 it shows he can hit the target which is more important.

  • @Defender78 The only guns that have knocked it all the way around have been the 45s i believe.

  • @Defender78 These are standard pressure .38 Spcl loads (PMC I think) and they are more for practice. A +P rated load would really swing that plate but make it harder to connect with. These rounds have decent stopping power. I worry less of the ultimate power of the round however and more about actually hitting the target under stress. I don't really matter what you're shooting if you miss ;-)

  • Great vid never saw anyone go tactical with a revolver like that... Sweet. I always kind of wondered how they'd flow in a situation like that..

  • dude, you were rockin those reloads imo. Very impressive run with that LCR.

  • Nice reloading, you must have sleight of hand pro

  • That's a nice part of the world to be in (people would pay to be there)

  • Have you tried the Jetloaders? (found at Brownells)... they really are sweet for quick reloads with J Frames

  • Comment removed

  • Good Job! You give me something to strive for...although I will be doing it with my S&W 638ct. I can't afford to buy the LCR too, especially when my Smitty is doing me right ;)

    Keep up the good work!

  • Fantastic Job Shotting Nutn'!!! Some fine reloading as well. I have a Ruger snobby in stainless...trigger pull is 1 1/2 TONS....hahahaha!!!!! I am very interested in the trigger on the LCR. Looking forward to your table top...comparing it to the model with the Crimson Trace would be of interest as well. All The Best!!!! :)

  • Guns guns guns... I want old knife reviews. :|

  • good shooting

  • Ever heard of using the dump pouch? Great vid man, keep up the good work.

  • What kind of plate carrier is he wearing?

  • 2:40 was a hell of reload.

  • Hello, sir. Thank you for the effort, honesty and informative videos.

    Best to you and yours.

  • That was an impressive run. Good manipulation of the speed loaders.

  • am I cross eye dominant? my good eye is my right eye and i focus out of my left.. it sucks shooting a rifle because i hold the gun on my right shoulder and have to use my right (non dominant) eye

  • Wouldnt It be nice to have Sleight of Hand in reall life?

  • Pretty accurate, especially when you have to deal with the double action trigger. Great vids as usual.

  • Yeah! I'm glad to see a revolver on your channel. I'm a fan of the revolver but I think most people like the semi-autos.

  • Great Run Warrior, Love that LCR, I'm gonna rock one as my back up. Your reloads were great and your immediate action was fantastic, way to think on your feet when the cylinder didn't go into battery!

  • What TNP stands for ?

  • @jarabco The Nutnfancy Project. Welcome aboard.

  • Hey Nutn can you do a review of the new Rhino Snub nose revolver if you ever get your hands on it. I'd like to know your thoughts about the lower barrel mount.

  • Nice shooting for a snubby Nutn.

  • Really impressive with a 2 1/2 inch barrel. Good run!

  • Amazing run.

  • I really love the other Ruger snubbie, the SP101, (previously reviewed in the Nutnfancy Project). I believe a more beautiful pistol, and more accurate and versitile due to the weight. But the animal in me wants to get ahold of one of those .357 LCRs just for fun. What do you think Nutn, a head to head with the SP101 vs the LCR, full takling points comparison. I would love that. And for sure end with the .357 night fire!!! Just for fun of course.

  • Hard to tell on the video. are you cross eye dominant?

  • @EnduringEagle Sometimes he is..and sometimes he isn't. Weird, huh? But that's probably why its hard to tell exactly in vids. -- Veri

  • I never knew a snubbie could be so accurate...(I suxxors with snubbies).

  • you should be on top shot

  • @Sk8RJOSH94 THAT'D BE FUCKING AWESOME!

  • @Sk8RJOSH94 It's really refreshing to see Nutn shoot just out in the open for recreation after seeing every crying over who said why they missed their targets on that show

  • @DerRelienT ikr...excuses excuses lol

  • Pretty good shooting with one hand!

  • nutn u are nasty on that thing! and great camera work by the new guy

  • Old school vid baby!!!

  • I foewrgot to mention that the Safariland Comp 1 line of speedloaders may well be worth investigating, if you plan to regularise your revolver practice. They hold the ammunition more securely, unlike the HKS type and are a better bet, in my experience. (This was, of course when were actually allowed to own such firearms in the UK)...

  • Good to see that you have got the dynamics of the revolver reload off to a 'T' , even with a small framed gun... and while wearing gloves too!! RESPECT. Considering that I think you are in the main an auto user, this is shooting of a high order.

  • Any trouble with the aluminum cased bullets? In my s&w revolvers and in my taurus, they seem to swell after you get everything nice and hot and sometimes I have to even let the chamber cool down before i can eject the spent cartridges! Jus Curious....great vid and impressive run also

  • Cool vid! Thanks for posting.

  • Great job, I love mine, keep up the reviews.

    Thank you Nutnfancy.

  • DUDe DUMP BUCKETS!!! at each station o so much easyer in cleanup

  • man i would so love to come out there and shoot with you guys, doing those run and guns look so fun

  • Question, what rig held your speedloaders?

  • I prefer the S&W (no lock) 442. It's a better gun.

  • Excellent shooting, man. I'd call that proof that the LCR is a viable defensive option.

  • You should do a drill wearing a pro mask as this is something that many shooters and military units don't really focus on and in a WROL or TEOTWAWKI scenario it would be a good skill set to have just like fighting with your NVD's.

  • That is excellent shooting for a snubby! Outstanding job, Nutn!

  • I really enjoyed the camera work in this post. I liked how the camera was almost behind you when firing through the barrier. Sounded like PFI Dude, but whomever it was... Thumbs WAY up!

  • That was fantastic shooting.

  • Very interesting. The best speed loader instruction I studied months ago when taking some NRA courses was an Ayoob video showing strong side using the speedloader, the revolver straight down, head up more to see attacker, and dropping the cylinder upon use. Your revolver skills have improved with your effort and that is a good thing to see. You have a lot more experience than I do. It is a comfort to see you adding a skill still.

  • what happened at 2:15?

  • @NEWCLEARDAYS

I don't think he closed the cylinder all the way.

  • @EverythingisFire aah ha...good point thanks.

  • good run, nutn!!

you've gotten faster with the speedloaders, haven't ya?

  • oh dude!!! you pwned that!!! i'd love to see someone try to do a better job. i don't know how anyone could really

  • Pretty upset this didn't come up on my feed until just now. youtube fail. I Love how you do the off-handed part, ever think of maybe doing a run completely off handed that would be tough.

  • HD???..???

  • That was dadgum good shooting bro!

    Thumbs up~John

  • Looks like you have been practicing your wheel gun reloads!

  • Comment removed

  • Most impressive reloads and you were very accurate!

  • Great run with that gun!! very impressive. I'm a S&W 642 fan but definitely would love this gun if i had it.

  • Very great run. Exceptional considering the use of a snubnose wheel gun. I too think the .38 special LCR is the way to go. Not only is the .357 heavier but I think the magnum round is somewhat wasted on such a short barrel. Awesome on the reloads btw. I wish I could do it that quickly.

  • Now that's some Old Schoolin'

  • yeah i agree with the other comments here, definately improving with the revolver skills

  • i think im going to have my lcr ported

  • Nutnfancy kickin ass and takin names with a double action snubby, nice shootin.

  • im kinda curious to know how the muzzle flip on that gun is.

  • 0:00

  • dude, that was a pretty epic run for a wheel gun, those reloads were surprisingly fast. Great looking trigger on that LCR too, looking forward to that tabletop

  • That was some good shooting......... little off subject here sir.... are you ever gonna try out a Draco AK pistol Nutn? I would love to hear your side of the deal when it comes to the Dracos.....

  • I may just have become a revolver fan. This little snubby might be a great fit. Maybe it was just the mood I was in, but I loved the little bit of music at the end. Got a source for that? Very cool. Thanks again, nutn.

  • DUUUDE!! impressive shooting with a very light weight snubby! Reloads were impressively quick as well! Do I hear the Kel Tec getting a bit nervous? Seems like a solid carry option no?

  • Awesome vid! Very cool!

Thanks to you and the anonymous guy for all your hard work.

  • What's the purpose of using a CC pistol for a long trench warfare type scenario? I'd probably use it for a second, get my 1911, drop the CC pistol, and use that as a GTW pistol.

  • YOU NEED A TV SHOW!!! even if it were an hour long segment each week or month...

love the work sir, you are one cool dude

  • @GlocksAllTheWay He has had offers and refuses them to keep all influences out of his reviews

  • @GlocksAllTheWay

I agree with you brother, but after watching many TNP videos I believe he works at preserving his anonymity for his own & his family's security. They said as much on one of the family vids he shot.

  • Nice shootin' there Nutn'! thanks for posting.

  • I'm a big believer of the LCR. I have nearly 4000 rounds through mine (I actually have 2). This is without a doubt the most accurate revolver I have ever shot.

  • It's so annoying, look how many guys copy you nutnfancy. Table reviews, talking points, runing and gunning. This happend when ppl can start making money on adds. They put on the table useless stuff and they keeping finger cross "maybe somebody gonna click on adds". It's not same youtube any more.

  • really nice looking little unit. looks like a very comfortable carry. nice shooting.
