One of my favorite pieces...so lovely. It conveys such depth of feeling. Thank you, M. Einaudi. You are a master. I dream of hearing you play in concert someday.
I just heard this for the first time today... and it is definitely a beautiful song, but this is basically the same song sampled from the Matrix Reloaded Soundtrack!
The credits for that song are DMB and Oakenfold.. this song is not even mentioned. What gives? Just search YouTube for "Matrix Reloaded soundtrack Dave Matthews Band - When the world ends" and you'll see the eerie similarities.
I listened to the song you mentioned, and although the beginning has a SLIGHT similarity, it's quite clear it's just a coincidence (however you spell it).
Regardless, even if it was inspired by it, it's quite common for artists to use similar chords from other songs and make different songs from them. A huge example of this is Pacobel's Canon
@iLikeCookie88 You could play the parts separately, record them both, then play them overtop of one another. You would need to use a metronome to ensure that they both stayed in time, though.
Pandora, thank you for such a beautiful instant, I totally agree this music goes straight to the soul and has no age, time doesn t exist, that is one of the proof of this time invention because no matter where you are, when and who you are , you receive it, period.
To this day I will never understand how classical like this isn't more widely accepted. There's something about it though that just speak to the soul, as corny as that sounds. Great songs like this can't help but illicit emotion, and what emotion it is is all up the listener. THAT is true music.
@SolKyoshiro I know exactly what you mean, I'm a huge fan of ulrich schnauss and little people... This is a very emotional piece, and its just absolutely wonderful.
@ashleypina1 Not difficult, but simply it is easy to follow the mainstream, with songs that generally offer nothing but the emotions of the writer (not condoning this). Some people are also predisposed to prefer music that evokes certain emotions, such as rage (death metal), sadness/happiness (country), sensual/simple elation (most pop music).
@SolKyoshiro I did survey in my sociology class about music popularity, classical was one of the two LEAST liked types. do people even listen to music anymore?
i tried having sex to this song, but its kinda hard when after 30 seconds you've become one with the world...and not her
