  • got music?

  • would be so sick if cee lo and/or gnarles barkley did shit w/ gorillaz... this version of crazy is fuckin bananas!!

  • @QuantumQuacks While respecting the truth that you can't please everyone all the time I think it's unfair to say that the song isn't any good. I grew up in a house that listened to four generations of music and this performer is Amazing! While the tunes are varied in many things we can all agree that music is TIMELESS. I personally see this song as Inspirational and would definitely give it a listen time and time again. Let's see you get a twelve year old of today to listen to Frankie Lymon.

  • @QuantumQuacks you obviosly have no taste in music you probably are better off watching fred videos im mean this song is amazing

  • @QuantumQuacks While most modern R&B have strayed so far from its roots that it is barely recognizable next to old school soul, anyone who knows music can clearly see the direct influence that old school soul had on this song as well as the vocal style of Cee-Lo. What's more is the direct influence of the gospel style in his singing, which as we all know, soul is a descendant of (Sam Cooke or Ray Charles ring a bell?) Perhaps it is you who should give another listen to Frankie Lymon, sir.

  • is this at the grammys ?

  • Wow, Cee lo finally did it! Cee lo became Frank William Abignale Jr!

  • the guy playing music at the begining(behind the singer) just happens to be the guy who plays the drums for Gorillaz

  • he looks cool as fuck.

  • Cee-Lo has the the best voice ever.

  • Love Cee-Lo Green

  • @Paulie661

Wrong this is Thomas DeCarlo Callaway AKA cee lo green,

  • Dexter Manley is his real name.

  • @Paulie661 He looks like Dex. a bit smaller though.

  • wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

  • cee lo looks like captain jack in this video

  • Согласен. Ебануться чел. Респект и уважуха.

  • its not hard to sing like that JK it just takes 10 or 15 years to learn lol

  • just me or theirs a prob widda audio?

  • The sound is crappy :( but this live performance was só good.

Ever seen him on abbey road (televisionthing)? Well you should. Amazing.

  • this is in a different time signature from the original... im guessing its in 6/8 or 12/8 and original is basic 4/4

  • @ciano15 its a 4, listen to the piano playing quarter notes. drummer is playing 4 on the floor 1 2 trip let 3 4 1 trip let 2 3 4, or something along those lines

  • Comment removed

  • @ciano15 no, it's in 4... 2 sets of 6 and 1 set of 4 would be 16, which isn't divisible by 7 and even if they were 16ths that still wouldn't make it 7, 7 is usually 4 and 3, this is a 4. i don't even know how you could think it isn't. listen to the bass drum its 1 3 throughout and the piano is very straight forward

  • @FockerTheLopper yes lol i thought i deleted that comment. youre right and i realized that after posting the comment.

  • it's still 4/4, just slower

  • @ciano15 This is in 4/4

  • kjbfdsa

  • @IsLifePeachy lol You are so wrong for writing something like this lol

  • i was hoping for this to pop up on youtube!!! you are the MAN for uploading this! I think its better than the album version. LESS POLISH MORE EMOTION!!!!

  • its the precition and the details and the commitment in this song that makes it stand out. He cares about this song.... he is crazy :)

  • WTF? Danger mouse dissapeared!

  • Cee Lo - has one of the best voices in music

  • I am a hard-core metal fan at best. But when I heard this man sing, I was an instant fan.... Very unique voice and sound.....

  • I can't hear shit

  • You should at least listen to the lyrics before you go misquoting them. I'm not exactly a fan of music these days, but this song clearly contains all the elements of a great song. The melody is incredible, it is sung amazingly, and the lyrics actually have depth & soul to them.

  • @tonewheelz such an exact point of view!

  • @tonewheelz I may be a stoner metal head.. I've never been a huge fan of rap or hip-hop in general, or as you stated, music these days hardly gets me excited, but i know good music when i hear it.. and i would have to say that any thing Danger Mouse does is fucking fantastic... up to and including this... he is the real man behind this composition, a true musical genious... considered in my eyes a true composer.. last person alive i could give that title to was Frank Zappa.

  • @tonewheelz, I'm sorry to you aren't much of a music fan these days. There is so much outstanding music being made. It may be a matter of finding it, but its out there. If the elements you describe in this song are important to you, you might like the Avett Brothers. Check out the 2010 list put together at the NPR music site. There were a number of records that stand out. Listen to KCRW online, or KGSR. Make a Pandora station for yourself. Its all waiting for you.

  • @tonewheelz thanks for speaking my mind. the industry cut the cord on gnarles as they do not want deveation from the money train which is MTV hiphop. Fuck MTV

  • @NoMoreUIDsLeft LOL! The 80s? That was the decade that perfected throwaway pop garbage. Go listen to your Wham while I jam to this.

  • This brother has an annointing on his voice, sounds like he came straight out of the church. What a voice!!!!

  • @shellysaved well Cee lo's from the south so.. southern twang in his voice and hes a Vicious Lyricist... So to be a rapper and actually be able to sing... BEAST!!!

  • Comment removed

  • Linda that his music I think I pretty she ... is perfect

  • The music was very good so I found the clip a bit pointless but it was very well done great singer and keyboardist

  • doesnt this song go alot faster?

  • yes it does xP

  • lol thought so

  • SING IT CEE LO!!!...SING YOUR HEART OUT!!!! God this mans voice is AMAZING!!!!

  • From 1:50 to 2:13 is possibly the best sound to EVER come out of Cee-Lo's mouth, or any other contemporary singer, for that matter.

  • wheres the music video where hes like screaming at some tiny sized person

  • That kids is how you do it.

  • I L.O.V.E CEE~LO'S VOICE!!!

    --Skiz

  • This is the BEST version of this song...I remember seeing this on the 2007 Grammys....his voice gave me chills....LOVE IT!!!!

  • 3:20 EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEto3: 27

  • I love how this performance sounds raw...the tempo and the path his voice takes....awesome!!!!

  • And yes, I know he's a music singer I was just breaking the song down

  • -cont- He also says "Think twice, its my only advice" as if to say are you sure you're willing to die for the military?

And in the begining he says he lost his mind, but meaning the fact he's "crazy" for wanting to serve his country (see below statement) The fact that it felt right was because he wanted to serve and die for what's right.

  • every once and awhile people try and "figure out" what a gnarls barkley song is about..and once again we have a swing and miss

  • Then what does it mean?

  • Comment removed

  • ha. not about cee-lo wanting to join the military thats for sure...

  • maybe so or maybe he is talking about being an airpline pilot he is dressed like one and in the other slowed version video the women are dressed like stewardesses or come to think of it could be talking about the downside of doing drugs and alcohol as in crazy for doing it knowing the outcome will be the ultimate end of you life

  • That's really not a bad explanation at all. It also makes sense with the suits and the drummer playing a cadence-like groove.

  • Well if you think about it, he's wearing some sort of militairy uniform.

Now look at the lyrics, they relate to how he wants to be "just like them"(ever since he was little).

Some kids grow up wanting to be like a soldier, because they're considered high regaurd.

They are, but he questions the fact, is giving his life up for his country right?

In his case it is, because it's what he joined for. "And I will die when I'm done"

    Meaning he's a dedicated soldier.

    -cont-

  • greatest singer in a generation.

  • he sang his heart out bravo bravo

  • Yeah that's for sure....without a doubt, his talent is undeniable.

  • Such a marching, epic vibe here.

  • I absolutely love this performance. I also notice that this video has been flipped. I'm watching it from the wrong angle.

  • Haunting.

  • The song is so much better slowed down. It really allows Cee-Lo to show off his range. He's in great voice this night.

  • I think this is how this song is meant to be sung. It sounds so much more genuine than the versions you can pick up on CD.

  • they do costumes for everything. i wouldn't read into it.

  • Nice Post

  • I love this version...Gives me goosebumps.
