Unless you're the type of person who just sits in the middle of the stage laughing and not caring at all while getting beat up then I'm pretty sure you shouldn't find seeing your character randomly fall on their face and/or ass (both if you're wario) fun. ITEMS are meant to make it unpredictable and fun. The tripping was arbitrary as hell and you're in denial.
